Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears: What Experts Are Saying About Chicago
The Chicago Bears are coming off an impressive victory against the Atlanta Falcons. They will face a Miami Dolphins team coming off a tough loss at home to Green Bay.
As Chicago shifts their focus to the Dolphins, they will look to win their first home game by attacking a struggling quarterback while trying to continue to gain momentum on offense.
As we look around, experts all see the odds in the Bears' favor, but is somebody actually picking Miami to win this week? Take a look as we round up what they are saying going into a Week 7 matchup at Soldier Field.
ESPN Chicago's Michael C. Wright Sees Chances Against Ryan Tannehill

The defense is coming off an inspired effort against the Falcons. The shorthanded unit held quarterback Matt Ryan in check as Atlanta never reached the red zone.
Now the Bears will shift their focus to a more erratic quarterback. Miami's Ryan Tannehill has struggled to take care of the football in his young career, and ESPNChicago.com's Michael C. Wright thinks this is the key to a Bears win:
"The Bears enter this game with the NFL’s sack leader in Willie Young (seven sacks) leading an opportunistic unit which ranks third in takeaways (12). The Bears have scored 49 points off those takeaways, which is a dangerous proposition for Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who is coming his ninth game since 2012 in which he’s thrown two or more interceptions.
Look for the Bears to capitalize off Miami mistakes often.
"
Wright hits it on the head here. Tannehill's mistakes will come into play on the road in Soldier Field. The Bears should be able to pressure him and force him to make a few errors. This is the key ingredient to victory.
CBS Sports' Pete Prisco Thinks the Bears Take Advantage of Home Cooking
2 of 5
It's hard to believe we are going into Week 7 and the Bears are still winless at home. It's also hard to believe they will start the year 0-3 at Soldier Field. That's a main reason why experts are picking them to win.
CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco was wrong last week when he picked Atlanta over the Bears and looks to redeem himself this week.
"The Dolphins suffered a tough loss at home to the Packers last week, while the Bears impressed in beating Atlanta on the road. The Bears are home for the first time in three weeks, and will play like it. Their big receivers are a mismatch for Miami's corners."
Yes, it will be hard for the Dolphins to bounce back from last week, but it's even more difficult to go into Soldier Field and try to cover a healthy Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Miami will be put to task trying to slow down the Bears' vertical attack.
AP Sports' Jeff Mezydlo Looks at Stats, Likes the Bears' Pass Rush
3 of 5
Who would have thought Willie Young would be the team's premier pass-rusher over Lamarr Houston and Jared Allen? Young is off to a terrific start, and AP Sports' Jeff Mezydlo (via Yahoo Sports) looks at the favorable numbers for Young:
"Chicago's Willie Young will be on the field after recording two sacks last Sunday to take over the NFL lead with seven.
Miami's Ryan Tannehill was sacked once in the last two games after being taken down eight times in the previous two. Tannehill, who ranks near the bottom of the league in completion percentage (60.8) and passer rating (81.5), has thrown four TDs but three picks in the last two contests.
"
Young shouldn't be the only guy to get after Tannehill this week. Jared Allen looks healthy after his illness and Lamarr Houston played better against Atlanta. Both guys could be a part of a big pass-rushing day for the Bears.
ESPN's Fantasy Expert Matthew Berry Thinks It's Time for You to Sit Bennett
4 of 5
At the start of the season, tight end Martellus Bennett was the go-to receiver for quarterback Jay Cutler. Lately, Bennett has cooled off in large part to the reemergence of Matt Forte and the returning health of the starting receivers.
ESPN.com's Matthew Berry thinks you should go away from Bennett in this week's game:
"Averaging only 3.5 receptions and 34.5 yards with no touchdowns his (Bennett) past two games as Brandon Marshall gets healthier, he needs to score to be a strong play this week. The Dolphins have allowed the fewest yards per reception to opposing tight ends this year. Given the other options available this week, he's not a top-five play.
"
It's tough to get a gauge on what the Bears are going to do on offense from week to week, but Berry is right here. Last season when Forte, Marshall and Jeffery were healthy, Bennett was more of a complementary player with a low number of touchdowns.
If you have to start him, then go ahead. But if you have other primary options who could get into the end zone this week, then they should be in front of Bennett.
Fox Sports' Peter Schrager Actually Thinks the Bears Will Lose
5 of 5
Jay Cutler and the Bears offense has always struggled against a good pass rush. He tends to make most of his mistakes when under pressure, but can the Dolphins muster up enough to actually win this?
Fox Sports' Peter Schrager sure thinks so, and he's picking the upset on Sunday:
"Bears second-year offensive tackle Jordan Mills has had an up-and-down season and on Sunday, he matches up 1 on 1 with Cameron Wake, arguably the top pass rusher in the league this season. Wake had 1.5 sacks last week versus the Packers and has been virtually unblockable off the edge this year. The Bears are favored in this one, but I think Miami bounces back from a tough home loss and steals one up in Soldier Field on Sunday.
"
Mills wasn't very good on Sunday, but it's hard to imagine him or Wake will have a big enough impact on this game for Miami to win. Then again, who thought the Bears would lose to Buffalo in Week 1? Anything can happen in the NFL.
