Winners and Losers from Bundesliga Week 4
Bundesliga bigboys got back down to domestic action after European business in midweek.
Champions League participants Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen all failed to win, whilst the minnows of Mainz, Paderborn and Hoffenheim are all in the mix at the top of the table.
Find out the winners and losers from Week 4, including the loooooooooooooongest-ever goal in Bundesliga history.
Losers: Bayer Leverkusen
1 of 12
Bayer Leverkusen slipped to their first Bundesliga defeat of the season.
Sunday's 4-1 drubbing in Wolfsburg meant die Werkself slipped from the summit down to fifth place in the table.
Leverkusen never recovered from an early red card for Italian defender Giulio Donati, which left the visitors with 10 men for over 80 minutes.
Winner: Ricardo Rodriguez
2 of 12
Ricardo Rodriguez starred in VfL Wolfsburg's first win of the season.
The 22-year-old Swiss international opened the scoring from the penalty spot. Rodriguez added a second just after the hour mark with a sweet left-footed volley.
The Wolves romped to an eventual 4-1 victory against 10-man Bayer Leverkusen.
Winner: Moritz Stoppelkamp
3 of 12
Moritz Stoppelkamp scored the longest goal in Bundesliga history, with a 83-metre punt from just outside his own penalty box.
"Right then. On a day of wild goals, here’s one from outside Stoppelkamp's own 18-yard box: http://t.co/Z4yU9OY64p https://t.co/u6ppkWlfv7

Stoppelkamp's dream goal sealed the points for promoted Paderborn in a 2-0 victory against Hanover.
Unfancied Paderborn have risen remarkably all the way to the top of the Bundesliga.
Losers: Former Bundesliga Champions
4 of 12
A whole host of former Bundesliga champions are enduring tough times at the start of the campaign.
Hamburger SV, VfB Stuttgart and Werder Bremen are all yet to pick up a league win this season.
VfB and HSV prop up the league in the bottom two places.
Winners: The Minnows of Mainz, Paderborn and Hoffenheim
5 of 12
Few would have predicted that Paderborn, Mainz and Hoffenheim would all be ahead of mighty Bayern and Dortmund in the table after four games.
Promoted Paderborn travel to play Bayern Munich on Tuesday as Bundesliga league leaders.
Losers: Bayern Munich's Misfiring Attack
6 of 12
Bayern Munich are not yet firing on all cylinders with just five goals in four Bundesliga games.
Despite enjoying 74 percent possession away from home against Hamburg, Bayern failed to convert this dominance into goals.
Bayern only managed three shots on target and had to be content with a goalless draw.
The Bavarians are yet to win this season away from home in the Bundesliga.
Winner: Shinji Okazaki
7 of 12
Go! Go! Nippon!
Shinji Okazaki is the league's top scorer with four goals in four games. He is also the most prolific Japanese goalscorer in Bundesliga history with 29 goals.
The Mainz marksman added another precious goal in a surprise 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund, outshining his famous namesake Kagawa.
"Shinji the star! Okazaki fires @Mainz05en to home victory over @BVB #M05BVB #Bundesliga http://t.co/4oRSbUVT1K pic.twitter.com/6JC85XPfjC

Loser: Ciro Immobile
8 of 12Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile has enjoyed the full spectrum of footballing fortunes this week.
In midweek, the Italian starred on Europe's biggest club stage with a brilliant solo goal against Arsenal in the Champions League.
However, Immobile is still firing blanks in the Bundesliga. He missed a 70th-minute penalty as Jurgen Klopp's men succumbed to their second defeat in four league games.
Winner: Ronny
9 of 12Brazilian Ronny saved Hertha Berlin's blushes with two stunning free-kicks in Freiburg on Friday evening.
Hertha remain without a win, but the 28-year-old's brace at least spared the capital city side another defeat in a 2-2 draw.
Ronny, a renowned free-kick specialist, fired a last-ditch equaliser in the 96th minute for 10-man Hertha.
Better late than never.
Loser: Armin Veh VfB Stuttgart
10 of 12
VfB Stuttgart languish at the bottom of the Bundesliga after a home defeat against Hoffenheim.
Stuttgart's miserable 2-0 loss means the three-time champions even find themselves behind Hamburg in the table, a side that hasn't even scored this season.
Coach Armin Veh, a Bundesliga winner in 2007 with VfB , has work to do in his second spell with the Schwabians.
Winner: Josef Zinnbauer
11 of 12
Hamburg's new coach Josef Zinnbauer can be proud of a point against Bayern in his Bundesliga coaching debut.
Josef pitted his wits against Josep Guardiola on the touchline after taking over from the fired Mirko Slomka.
HSV are still to score in the league this season but managed a goalless draw against the illustrious visitors from Bavaria.
Hope are high that Zinnbauer can raise the sleeping giant from its slumber.
Losers: Kevin-Prince Boateng & Julian Draxler
12 of 12
Schalke stars Kevin-Prince Boateng and Julian Draxler both received red cards in the home draw against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Birthday-boy Draxler, 21 on Saturday, at least had the small consolation of his 50th-minute equaliser before being sent off.
Nine-man Schalke snatched a point against the visitors from Hessen, despite trailing by two goals.
However, the Royal Blues remain winless and third-division Dynamo Dresden dumped them out of the German Cup.
