FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014: TV Info and Picks for Wednesday's Quarterfinals
Two more spots in the 2014 FIBA World Cup semifinals will be up for grabs on Wednesday.
In the first quarterfinal, Brazil will look to continue its strong run following a blowout win over Argentina by taking down Serbia. The Eagles went just 2-3 during pool play before pulling off an upset against previously unbeaten Greece in the round of 16.
That game will be followed by the host nation of Spain attempting to keep its hopes of winning the title on home soil alive against France. The Blues have been flying under the radar in this tournament but find themselves in the championship mix once again.
Let's check out the important viewing information for both contests, followed by predictions for which teams will advance.

Game Predictions
Serbia vs. Brazil
Greece played like a sleeper contender to win the tournament during group play. It played strong team defense en route to a perfect record, highlighted by an eight-point triumph over Argentina. The Greeks were no match for the hot-shooting Serbians, though.
Bogdan Bogdanovic, who's been a key offensive stalwart throughout the event, was on target again, as he knocked down four treys on his way to 21 points. Serbia ended up shooting 53 percent from beyond the arc to spark the minor upset.
Now the question is whether a second chance at Brazil will lead to a different result. The two sides played during the group stage, with the South American squad coming out on top.
The difference in that game was down low. Brazil shot better from two-point range, won the rebounding battle and blocked more shots. It puts more pressure on Miroslav Raduljica and Nemanja Bjelica to produce at both ends for Serbia.
One area where the Brazilians should have a clear edge is depth. They are one of the most well-rounded teams in the tournament. So much so that only one player, Leandro Barbosa, is averaging more than 10 points per game.
The question is whether Serbia's top three or four can hold up amid a busy schedule. It's a good matchup overall, but EuroHoops thinks there should be crossover play rather than having group rivals playing each other again in the quarterfinals:
It's a fair point, but there's nothing either side can do about it now. While Serbia deserves credit for reaching this stage after some sluggish play in a tough group, the run will likely come to an end at the hands of Brazil.
Pick: Brazil by six
France vs. Spain
Spain has been on cruise control throughout most of the tournament. It must be careful here, though. Even though France doesn't have Tony Parker, who's usually the driving force offensively, there's still enough talent to make things difficult for the host nation.
The main reason for the team's success is Pau Gasol. He's built off a bounce-back season with the Los Angeles Lakers with a string of encouraging outings for the national team, which is exactly what the Chicago Bulls were hoping to see after signing him.
Gasol noted the busy schedule has been taking its toll on the players, though:
Luckily for Spain, it has reinforcements in the post in the form of Gasol's brother Marc and Serge Ibaka. That trio represents why the Reds will be so difficult to beat for any other team, assuming they keep getting perimeter contributions from Rudy Fernandez and Co.
So, the question is how France can turn it into a close game. The most important thing is slowing down the pace. The Blues don't want it to become a fast-paced contest, which will further illustrate the absence of Parker.
That's where Nicolas Batum, Boris Diaw and Evan Fournier, who's gotten better as the event has gone on, can start to make things difficult on Spain's defense.
While France has quietly played well throughout the tournament, it probably doesn't have enough offensive firepower to keep pace with Spain. It should be a close game into the second half, but look for Spain to pull away and move within two wins of the title.
Pick: Spain by 12
