High School Hockey Player Goes 5-Hole, Scores Ridiculous Penalty-Shot Goal
This is Jake Levy. He is a bad, bad man.
A student at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Fla., Levy chalked up a nasty penalty-shot goal against Flanagan High in a recent game.
Paul Sacca of Next Impulse Sports spotted the spectacular finish. Legend has it that the goalie is still wandering the rink, looking for the jock Levy faked off his body.

As you can see in the video, Levy went with a bit of artistry on this shot, stretching the puck wide and dropping it back through his legs for a top-shelf flip.
If you’re experiencing a bit of deja vu, it’s probably because you’ve seen this exact tactic utilized by San Jose Sharks rookie Tomas Hertl.
Levy’s goal is more or less a replica of the between-the-legs puck flip Hertl used to cap off a four-goal effort against the New York Rangers in October. The rookie finished a breakaway by slipping the puck back and roofing it on Rangers goalie Martin Biron, who was helpless against the young Czech forward.
Congratulations, Jake. You’ve made SportsCenter—not exactly a run-of-the-mill accomplishment for a high schooler.
As far as this between-the-legs business goes, it appears the tactic is gaining steam among young hotshots. It may continue to have success for the foreseeable future, but rest assured, goalies will learn to expect it and defend it effectively.
Until then, go crazy, you wide-eyed mavericks. Stay fancy and continue buzzing the towers.
Real top shelf, you know.
