The 2004 Patriots The Best Team Of All Time

Brian CarlosMay 29, 2009

The Greatest team of all time the 2004 New England Patriots

The 2004 New England Patriots were one of NFL’s greatest teams of all time. The Patriots were strong on all phases of the game. The offense was ranked number four in all of football while defense was only second to Pittsburgh. What made this team so great was its depth of both offense and defense. This featured names such as Earthwind Moreland as your starting cornerback for a period of time. When the Patriots faced St. Louis in Week seven it was a week to remember on not only the special teams side of the ball but the defense. Midway through the game cornerback Asante Samuel went out with a shoulder injury. The only person left out on the depth chart was none other then Mr.Patriot himself Troy Brown.  Troy Brown ranks as one the greatest Patriots of all-time. Brown was well remembered for his ability as a wide receiver and kick returner on special teams. Troy Brown had to step in and play cornerback. The Patriots had been using Brown as a cornerback throughout practice just in case a situation as this would present itself. Brown showed he was more then capable of handling this situation. Brown would end the season with two interceptions.
