Akron vs. Michigan: TV Info, Spread, Injury Updates, Game Time and More
After Michigan defeated Notre Dame in the bitter rivals' last matchup, the No. 11 Wolverines will host MAC opponent Akron on Saturday.
The Wolverines were impressive against the Fighting Irish in Week 2, posting a resounding 41-30 victory in front of their home crowd. Dual-threat quarterback Devin Gardner passed for 294 yards with four touchdowns to one interception, while also scampering for 82 yards and a touchdown. Senior receiver Jeremy Gallon had a huge game, posting a career-high 184 yards and three touchdowns.
Akron is coming off a 35-33 victory over FCS opponent James Madison.
In the back-and-forth battle, junior Nick Hirschman and sophomore Kyle Pohl combined to go 20-of-32 for 287 yards with four touchdowns to one interception.

Top Storyline: Will Michigan Suffer a Letdown After Big Win?
After the victory over Notre Dame in Week 2, it could be easy for Michigan to slack off against overmatched Akron.
After all, Akron ranks 89th in points per game and 101st in points allowed per contest this season.
But it's never wise to look past an opponent.
Football can be a heartbreaking game sometimes. Case in point in Week 2: USC lost to Washington State, Texas lost to BYU, and Florida lost to the Miami Hurricanes.
Coach Brady Hoke appears confident the Wolverines will take this game seriously, though.
He said on Monday, according to the Associated Press, via ESPN.com: "I think our team has always been pretty focused on ourselves and what we need to do. There's enough out there that we need to do in all three phases."
He added that Michigan still has plenty to work on, according to the AP report: "I don't think we were perfect (in Week 2) by any means. There's a lot from offense, defense and kicking game that we can go back to work on and that's what we have to do."
Will the Wolverines go for the jugular against Akron early or allow the Zips to hang around?
Prediction: Michigan 48, Akron 14
Given Akron has allowed a combined 71 points in its first two games against UCF and James Madison, I'm thinking the Wolverines are going to have a field day on Saturday.
If the Wolverines dropped 41 points against Notre Dame, how many are they going to drop against Akron?
The answer?
A lot.
The Zips don't have an answer for Devin Gardner—or Jeremy Gallon, for that matter—and it doesn't help that both QBs (Pohl, the starter, and Hirschman) are dealing with injuries.
The Wolverines posted 460 yards of total offense against Notre Dame. The offense should continue to roll against Akron, while the defense uses this matchup as a tuneup game.
