Madden 25 Player Ratings: Specialty Players Who Will Be Deadly Weapons
Whether you're drafting a fantasy team or simply trying to maximize the assets from a real roster, knowing how to get the most out of situational players is key.
Some players on your team will only be fit for certain packages, special teams or passing downs on defense. Despite their one-dimensional appeal, they can be the difference in winning and losing.
Here's a look at a few players with specialized abilities:

Devin Hester is Still a Great Return Man
So Devin Hester never became the big-play threat the Chicago Bears hoped he'd become as a wide receiver. Don't sleep on his ability to still make an impact in the return game, though.
EA Sports clearly recognizes his greatness on special teams. Hester is arguably the greatest return man in history, so despite his mediocre 73 overall rating as a wide receiver, he's still rated 99 overall as a punt and kick returner in Madden 25.
His speed is set at 98, agility is a 92 and his acceleration is a 95. With the use of Precision Modifiers at gamers' disposal, opponents can kick it to Hester at their own risk.
Margus Hunt is a Freak
The Cincinnati Bengals may have an unprecedented wealth of pass-rushers this season. You know about Carlos Dunlap, who is rated an 89 overall in the game; then there's Michael Johnson, who is also rated an 89.
If you want to send the blitz, you can release the beast in James Harrison from the outside linebacker position. The former Pittsburgh Steeler is rated an 86 overall.
Aside from those well-known quarterback terrors, the Bengals are grooming another potential nightmare for opposing signal callers.
Rookie Margus Hunt is 6'8", 277 pounds with a speed rating of 85. Only two defensive ends in the game have a higher speed rating. Because of Hunt's size, he can also play defensive tackle in clear passing situations.
His 88 strength rating should keep him from getting abused on the inside.
As if the Bengals didn't have enough of a pass rush, you could run 4-3, put Hunt next to Geno Atkins at defensive tackle and really cause mayhem on third downs, or 2nd-and-long.
Denard is Your Wildcat
Do you like to run the Wildcat or read-option? If so and you're brave enough to run with the Jacksonville Jaguars, or you use the fantasy draft, rookie Denard Robinson can be lethal.
He's listed as a running back in Madden 25, but because he played quarterback in college, he has passing ratings that could make him a slight threat in the passing game. A 63 in throwing power and 66 in accuracy won't cause a QB controversy—even in Jacksonville—but it will allow Robinson to complete a pass or two if he decides to catch the defense napping.
With a rating of 92 in speed, 95 in agility and 96 in acceleration, Robinson can scoot. Shoelace can be an unexpected dual threat if used sparingly.
