Predictions – Outright:
This is where the tournament begins to get interesting, of course, when Mark Selby and John Higgins are just two of the established names coming into the fray. Selby is the favourite with William Hill at 11/2 and both Higgins and Judd Trump behind at 6/1.
Higgins is a former World Champion and recently reached the 2013 Wuxi Classic, so his form is certainly improving. He should be able to take this tournament in his stride in the Netherlands. However, with dark horses like Stephen Maguire (currently sitting at 16/1 odds), and Stuart Bingham (25/1) in the field, this isn't going to be a cakewalk by any means for Selby or Higgins. Even the likes of Ricky Walden at 33/1 odds, and Michael White at 50/1 are going to play a major role in determining the outcome of the tournament.
In the end, though, look for the talent of Higgins to rule the day, as his recent hot streak will help propel him into a tournament victory here.
Prediction: John Higgins/Stuart Bingham
