WWE Money in the Bank 2013 Predictions: Picking Winners of Each Ladder Match

Brian MaziqueJun 7, 2018

Who doesn't love Money in the Bank ladder matches? If you dig the WWE, you know that perhaps no match-type brings out the brilliance of a talented in-ring performer like the climb for the briefcase.

This year's event features contests for both world titles. Both matches have their share of formidable superstars and well-known performers, but in the end, there can be only...two, but you get the idea.

Here's my picks for the winner of both ladder matches:

Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️

World Heavyweight Championship Contract Winner: Fandango

This actually isn't very cool, but after being presented with the idea and giving it some thought, Fandango capturing the briefcase makes the most sense.

The ballroom dancer hasn't exactly proven himself worthy with his in-ring brilliance as of yet, but he is part of the new wave of WWE superstars set to take over as future featured attractions.

His theme song has become wildly popular, and though he hasn't shown it in the WWE, he does possess some in-ring talent. This won't suck if Fandango can produce a few respectable sequences during the match before he captures the contract.

It would be a shame to see him win after others put more on the line to excite fans during the match.

WWE Championship Contract Winner: Randy Orton

There are several possibilities in this match. As much as some fans may want to see RVD win, there's almost no chance he does. While it may be cool to wonder if and when RVD would show up to cash in his briefcase, the WWE contract is too big of a symbol to be tied to a superstar who won't be around on a full-time basis.

CM Punk is an obvious possibility, but Punk doesn't need to win Money in the Bank right now. He's at the top of the food chain already, generally this win is reserved for superstars gaining—or regaining—momentum.

That's where the Viper comes in.

He's already been the WWE champion six times and he's still just 33 years old. There is a lot left for Orton to accomplish in the WWE. He's spent a good deal of time outside the shine of the WWE title picture, his recent run of impressive victories and matches were just a precursor to his seventh title run.

Don't be surprised if Orton wins the contract and cashes in against John Cena—who I believe will beat Mark Henry—on the same night.
