Arsenal: Breaking Down the Matches Selected for TV
With considerable fanfare, Sky Sports and newcomers BT Sport have announced their early season Premier League fixtures for the 2013/14 season.
Five of Arsenal's Premier League fixtures have been selected for transmission on British satellite television.
Go to the next slide to discover which matches have been chosen and why.
Arsenal vs. Tottenham Hotspur
1 of 5Match: Arsenal vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Where: Emirates Stadium, London
When: Sunday, September 1, 4 p.m. UK-time
Televised by: Sky Sports
Arsenal's biggest derby of the season is an annual highlight.
In each of the past two seasons, this match has ended with an astonishing 5-2 scoreline. Sky Sports will have selected this match hoping for another feast of goals in 2013/14.
This match will take on a particular resonance this season as Tottenham and Arsenal are set to fight it out again for a spot in the top four.
Swansea vs. Arsenal
2 of 5Match: Swansea vs. Arsenal
Where: Liberty Stadium, Swansea
When: Saturday, September 28, 5.30 p.m. UK-time
Televised by: Sky Sports
Over the past two seasons, few Premier League teams have troubled Arsenal like Swansea.
Michael Laudrup's side have become something of a "bogey team" for Arsene Wenger. Buoyed by their new status as Capital One Cup winners, Swansea will be hopeful of overturning Arsenal again.
The Gunners will have to keep a particularly keen eye on Michu. The prolific Spaniard caused havoc every time he faced the Arsenal defence in 2012/13.
West Brom vs. Arsenal
3 of 5Match: West Brom vs. Arsenal
Where: The Hawthorns Stadium, West Bromwich
When: Sunday, October 6, 4 p.m. UK-time
Televised by: Sky Sports
This match will be notable for the presence in the West Brom squad of former Arsenal striker Nicolas Anelka.
Anelka has returned to English football to add his considerable experience and expertise to the Baggies' front line.
A trip to The Hawthorns is never an easy one. This tie will bring back memories of Arsenal's tense final-day encounter of 2011/12.
Arsenal vs. Liverpool
4 of 5Match: Arsenal vs. Liverpool
Where: Emirates Stadium, London
When: Saturday, November 2, 5.30 p.m. UK-time
Televised by: Sky Sports
This November clash will provide an interesting test of Liverpool's top-four credentials.
Brendan Rodgers will be keen to challenge Arsenal in the race for Champions League qualification.
If the transfer reports in The Telegraph are to be believed, Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez could be lining up for either of the two teams come November. Arguably, the side with Suarez stands the greatest chance of emerging victorious.
Manchester United vs. Arsenal
5 of 5Match: Manchester United vs. Arsenal
Where: Old Trafford, Manchester
When: Sunday, November 10, 4.10 p.m. UK-time
Televised by: Sky Sports
This match is always a thriller. The presence of a certain Dutch striker in the United squad has only increased the tension between the two teams.
Arsenal will be riled by the fact they had to give Robin van Persie a guard of honour the last time they met.
With Sir Alex Ferguson gone, the Gunners will hope they might be able to overcome their bitter rivals.
