Rounds four through six are on tap, so let’s see how the teams start to fill out!
Red Team, Round 4: Grant Wistrom
1 of 7It’s time for the Red Team to start adding to the defense, and selecting a dominant rush end seems like a pretty good place to start.
Wistrom was a four-year performer for Nebraska, playing on some of the best teams in school history. A terror off the edge, he still holds Nebraska's school record for tackles for loss. Wistrom should provide a strong start for the Red Team's defensive structure.

7: Red Team, Round 4—Wistrom, Grant (DE)
White Team, Round 4: Will Shields
2 of 7If the Red Team needed to start taking defensive players, then it was time for the White Team to start building an offensive line.
It’s hard to imagine Shields lasting much longer on the board, and putting Shields on the line would help anchor the White Team’s offensive line going forward.

7: Red Team, Round 4—Wistrom, Grant (DE)
8: White Team, Round 4—Shields, Will (OG)
Red Team, Round 5: Bob Brown
3 of 7The first historical pick, Brown’s size (6’5” and 280 pounds, huge for his time) and aggressiveness would make him a natural fit on the Red offensive line.
With historical players like Brown, you have to make a little bit of an assumption about what modern nutrition and training techniques would add to a player’s frame. By adding that to the natural talent Brown possessed, he would be a fearsome addition to the Red offensive line.

7: Red Team, Round 4—Wistrom, Grant (DE)
8: White Team, Round 4—Shields, Will (OG)
9: Red Team, Round 5—Brown, Bob (OG)
White Team, Round 5: Irving Fryar
4 of 7Drafts are as much about position scarcity than anything else. So with one truly elite wide receiver left on the board, the White Team needed to move in order to ensure that the Whites would have at least one high-quality receiver.
Fryar may not be the multi-talented weapon that Johnny Rodgers is, but putting him out wide will give opposing defenses plenty to worry about.

7: Red Team, Round 4—Wistrom, Grant (DE)
8: White Team, Round 4—Shields, Will (OG)
9: Red Team, Round 5—Brown, Bob (OG)
10: White Team, Round 5—Fryar, Irving (WR)
Red Team, Round 6: Rich Glover
5 of 7The Red Team now has a dominant edge pass rusher, but needs a premier player on the interior of the defensive line. With Glover’s addition, particularly considering the addition of modern nutrition and training methods, the Red Team now has an interior defensive presence that may rival the White Team’s selection of Ndamukong Suh.

7: Red Team, Round 4—Wistrom, Grant (DE)
8: White Team, Round 4—Shields, Will (OG)
9: Red Team, Round 5—Brown, Bob (OG)
10: White Team, Round 5—Fryar, Irving (WR)
11: Red Team, Round 6—Glover, Rich (DT)
White Team, Round 6: Broderick Thomas
6 of 7The first true linebacker, and the White Team adds what might be the single, most dominant back-seven player on the board. The Sandman is the perfect anchor to a linebacking corps, and he can guide the back seven and provide run protection and a fierce pass rush.
