Because the world doesn't have enough leagues featuring scantily-clad women, the Bikini Basketball Association is about to open, and their biggest star is Deiondra Sanders.
The report states that the daughter of the former MLB and NFL star will play for the Atlanta Peaches.
She even managed to get a tweet out about the BBA:
Yes, I am sure this is the sight taking place in NBA locker rooms before every practice. I can just see Dwight Howard now, chilling on a sofa eating some yogurt.
Back in September, we brought word the Bikini Basketball Association was in the process of scouting and holding tryouts for female talent.
They are getting closer to unveiling more information on this Lingerie Football meets roundball endeavor. A look at their website—as of this writing—shows a countdown just hours away from hitting zero.
As for Deiondra, some of you may already be well acquainted with that name.
The young woman created a stir at the end of 2011 when she took to Twitter and blasted Pilar Sanders (Deion had Deion Jr. and Deiondra with previous wife, Carolyn Chambers).
It became quite clear Deiondra is not a fan her father's estranged wife who just won joint custody of the couple's children pending their divorce, via ESPN.
Now the BBA has themselves something of a B-List celebrity as it embarks on its inaugural season.
A season that will bring together teams such as: Miami Spice, New York Knockouts, Orlando Lady Cats, L.A. Ice, Minnesota Mist, Atlanta, Chicago Crave and Illinois Heart.
The league begins in May of 2013.
