Eagles vs. Redskins: Final Report Card, Player Grades for Philadelphia
FINAL: Redskins 27, Eagles 20
The Washington Redskins (9-6) have defeated the Philadelphia Eagles (4-11) by a 27-20 score in what will almost certainly be the final home game of Andy Reid's coaching tenure.
The Redskins capitalized on a strong day by quarterback Robert Griffin III to win their sixth straight. Meanwhile, the Eagles have lost 10 of their final 11 and are almost guaranteed a top-five draft pick.

Quarterback
1 of 10Nick Foles: B
Foles put up strong numbers today, completing 32-of-48 passes for 345 yards. He threw a touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin but also missed a wide-open pass to Maclin in the corner of the end zone with 20 seconds remaining that would have tied the game.
The rookie was sacked five times and escaped several more. He showed an impressive ability to step up against pressure. Foles scrambled for a key third-down conversion late in the game and even hit LeSean McCoy for a completion on 4th-and-2 to keep the last drive alive.
On the final play of the game, Foles was called for intentional grounding, which ran out the clock because there was just one second left. That ended the Eagles' chances of a comeback against the playoff-bound Redskins.
It's still too early to tell whether Foles should be the quarterback of the future, but he will at least be given the opportunity to play in 2013.
Running Backs
2 of 10LeSean McCoy: C-
It was a pretty disappointing game from LeSean McCoy, who played his first game after missing several weeks with a concussion. McCoy was largely a non-factor as a runner, averaging fewer than 3.5 yards per carry without a touchdown.
He did come up with a great catch-and-run on a 4th-and-2 conversion with under a minute to play, and he showed excellent presence of mind in getting out of bounds. McCoy finished with nine total receptions for 77 yards, a Brian Westbrook-like game.
Bryce Brown: B-
Four carries for 18 yards is a fine output by Bryce Brown, who saw his workload greatly slashed with McCoy's return. The good news for Brown also was that he didn't cough up the football once.
Dion Lewis: A
One carry for a 17-yard touchdown run is a pretty good day's work for Dion Lewis. Chip Kelly is going to love this running attack next year.
Wide Receivers
3 of 10Jeremy Maclin: A
Jeremy Maclin very quietly had a terrific game today, catching eight passes for 116 yards and a 27-yard touchdown pass. He beat his man in the corner of the end zone with less than a minute to play, and that would have been another score had Foles hit Maclin with a strong pass.
Jason Avant: A
Jason Avant finished with eight catches for 70 yards, tied for his second-best individual reception total of his seven-year career.
Riley Cooper: C
Riley Cooper's 18-yard reception was a nice catch-and-run for a third-down conversion, but that was really the only impact he made on the contest.
Damaris Johnson: B
Three receptions for 25 yards is a good total for an undrafted rookie fourth receiver in an offense that spreads the ball around.
Tight Ends
4 of 10Brent Celek: C+
Three catches for 39 yards is a bland performance from Brent Celek, especially considering Foles completed 32 passes throughout the contest.
Evan Moore: F
Not to be too harsh on the newly signed Evan Moore, but he dropped what would have been a game-tying touchdown pass with 10 seconds remaining.
Offensive Line
5 of 10King Dunlap: D
Players that played their last home game in Philadelphia: Add King Dunlap's name to the list. The backup tackle, starting as Nick Foles' blindside protector, committed a holding penalty and looked overmatched as a pass protector.
Evan Mathis: A-
The lone star on the Eagles' offensive line should be rewarded with his first Pro Bowl selection when the voting is announced later this week. He's been a stalwart as a run- and pass-blocker.
Dallas Reynolds: C
He's had his ups and downs, and today was a representative output of his season. Dallas Reynolds didn't commit any penalties, and he did a fair job as a run-blocker.
Jake Scott: B-
The frequently-penalized Jake Scott was free of yellow flags today, and he's still in trial period of whether he will be back in Philadelphia in 2013.
Dennis Kelly: D
Most of the Redskins' sacks came from the outside linebackers, who had their way with Dunlap and Dennis Kelly for much of the game.
Defensive Line
6 of 10Trent Cole: C+
Trent Cole was facing a really tough left tackle in Trent Williams, who will be selected to the Pro Bowl sometime soon. Cole had five tackles for the day but no sacks.
Cullen Jenkins: D
Cullen Jenkins was really quiet today, which could be indicative of the fine season center Will Montgomery has had. Jenkins finished with just one tackle and no sacks.
Fletcher Cox: C
Fletcher Cox was also held in check for today's contest, finishing with two tackles and zero sacks. Cox was part of a defensive line that allowed the Redskins to run for 128 yards and a score.
Brandon Graham: B
The Eagles' newest defensive star had seven tackles today, tying for the team lead. He had no sacks but he's much better than his predecessor, Jason Babin, in that Graham can play the run as well as the pass.
Cedric Thornton: B-
The Eagles really like their reserve defensive tackle, Cedric Thornton. He had two tackles today, although he was flagged for a holding penalty on a kick return.
Linebackers
7 of 10DeMeco Ryans: A-
DeMeco Ryans had another really strong game, finishing with four tackles and a tackle for loss. He now has more tackles for a loss than any Andy Reid player has ever had.
Mychal Kendricks: B
Now that he's been moved to the weak-side linebacker spot, Mychal Kendricks is playing much better. He had seven tackles in the game, tying for the team lead.
Jamar Chaney: C
The Eagles didn't use Jamar Chaney for a high percentage of plays in today's game, and he finished with only one tackle.
Defensive Backs
8 of 10Nnamdi Asomugha: B
Nnamdi Asomugha doesn't get a lot of credit when he plays well but today was one of his better games. Asomugha is a solid cover corner and the team will likely bring him back in 2013.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie: B-
DRC didn't play quite as well as Asomugha but he turned in a fine performance as well. He also made a couple of tackles, which was a rarity for Eagles fans to see.
Brandon Boykin: B+
The Eagles' nickel corner registered the first sack by an Eagles defensive back since DRC against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9.
Kurt Coleman: C+
Kurt Coleman tied for the Eagles' team lead in tackles (seven) for the day, although he didn't play particularly well in pass coverage.
Colt Anderson: A
He took over for Nate Allen as the other starter opposite Coleman. Colt Anderson registered the first interception by an Eagles player since Asomugha against Matthew Stafford in Week 6.
Special Teams
9 of 10Alex Henery: A
His field goals weren't very long but Alex Henery made both of his attempts today.
Mat McBriar: C-
Two punts for 87 yards is a so-so effort by Mat McBriar, although it's surprising that he only had to kick twice.
Bryce Brown: D-
Bryce Brown's kick returns were as lackluster as ever, as he returned four kicks for a total of 74 yards.
Damaris Johnson: B-
Damaris Johnson's one punt return netted 10 yards.
Coaching
10 of 10Andy Reid: F
People didn't seem to make a big deal out of it but Andy Reid called a ridiculous 57 pass attempts during the day to just 18 rushes. That's inexcusably bad. It's a fitting way for Reid to go out in what was likely his last home game in Philly.
Marty Mornhinweg: D
The Eagles were wise to rely on Foles as much as they did down the stretch of the game, but the game plan didn't feature enough of McCoy or Brown.
Todd Bowles: D
No one would have expected Todd Bowles' defense to stop RGIII, and it didn't. But the fact that the Eagles broke through and got an interception was refreshing for Eagles fans.
Bobby April: F
He seems to have no interest in acquiring an explosive kick or punt returner, and Brown today was as mediocre as it gets.
