WWE: Monday Night Raw Gets Sacked as Viewership Dips Under 4 Million
It was something that WWE officials were probably not hoping to see the day after Monday Night Raw.
With the NFL's Monday Night Football back into full swing, WWE is struggling to see some sort of an uptick in the ratings. WWE's struggles continued on Monday night, as Raw could not even break four million viewers throughout the three-hour program (via TV By the Numbers).
On Monday night, Raw began its first hour with 3.76 million viewers. Its second hour helped as Raw peaked at 3.99 million viewers. However, its third hour lost 300,000 viewers, resulting in Raw finishing out with 3.60 million. In the Adults 18-49 category, Raw peaked during its second hour, scoring a 1.5 rating. Meanwhile, its first and third hour notched in a 1.4 rating share.

NFL's Monday Night Football was ranked No. 1 on cable television's Top 50 list, landing over 16 million viewers and a 6.4 rating share in Adults 18-49. Meanwhile, WWE Raw remained higher on the Top 50 list despite seeing lower viewership totals.
My quick take on WWE's viewership numbers:
WWE is in a very tough stretch at the moment. Monday Night Football has been drawing some impressive viewership numbers, which has hurt WWE Raw in many ways. With the football season into gear, Raw is likely to continue its viewership struggles.
The scary part of WWE's inability to lure in people to watch their product is seeing its viewership dip under four million. Although they were close in the second hour with 3.99 million viewers, Raw has been unable to keep people watching their program. With viewership under four million throughout night, despite a better program this week than in others—this should begin to set off some alarms that WWE's current three-hour Raw format is not working.
However, WWE shouldn't expect to see solid viewership totals for quite some time, especially with MNF posting strong numbers.
