WWE: Why Ryback Will Burn out Soon
Ryback has been on a warpath since his re-debut in early April. He has defeated countless enhancement talent and undercard wrestlers. Reports speculate that WWE officials are pleased with Ryback's performance and the way the crowd gets into his "Feed me more" chant.
But can Ryback ascend to the top of the WWE or will he burn out?
As stated in the aforementioned report, the WWE's idea is to slowly build up Ryback because it believes he'll get over better than those who were pushed hard too soon.

Ryback is just now starting to wrestle midcard talent. His pseudo-feud with Jinder Mahal ended recently with Ryback decisively pinning him on two occasions.
Ryback's transition to midcard talent couldn't have come at a better time. Even with the fans chanting along with him, it was obvious that seeing Ryback squash enhancement talent got stale quickly.
How much longer until seeing Ryback squash the undercard and midcard talent gets boring? How much longer can Ryback even continuously squash his opponents and still get over?
Realistically, it's only a matter of time before seeing Ryback consistently squash opponents becomes played out. It won't matter whether it's Jinder Mahal or John Cena—Ryback squashing his opponent will soon lose meaning.
By the time Ryback's squashing routine becomes old, it may be too late to salvage his character. He could be moved into a legitimate feud, but it will be hard to convince the fans that there's a chance the dominant Ryback can get knocked down—let alone pinned.
Ryback needs a story now.
Yes, his winning streak is impressive. It would be more impressive with each passing week if the WWE actually kept track of how many consecutive wins he has. If it's not keeping track of his exact record, then continuing the winning streak won't exactly get him any more over.
If it plans to keep Ryback a babyface, pair him with a squirmy heel that fans want to see Ryback get his hands on. The Miz would be a perfect fit. He's been establishing his dominance as Intercontinental champion with decisive title defenses. Combine that with his former WWE champion status and it's believable that he can take on Ryback.
Ryback could also turn heel and target top babyfaces. There's no babyface midcard champion he'd be able to target, but he could still get over by feuding with a relatively popular babyface.
Whatever it is the WWE does, it just has to move Ryback away from his quick-squash matches. Even if he does slowly work his way up the card, squashing wrestlers every week will only result in Ryback becoming burnt out.
