Best Individual Entrance Songs for 10 Current WWE Superstars
Entrance songs are the cue that a superstar is entering the ring area. These songs are important, as they must fit the character and be good songs in general.
I mean, you wouldn't have Kane enter to the song "It's Raining Men" by the Weather Girls. That's more of a Billy and Chuck theme song.
Jokes aside, entrance songs are important, so let's look at the best theme songs of 10 current WWE wrestlers.
Note: There is only one song per superstar. These songs are the best songs each wrestler has had, not in comparison to every other song of every other superstar. These are just 10 random wrestlers, there were no special considerations.
Randy Orton
1 of 10Song: "Burn in My Light"
Artist: Mercy Drive
I am a fan of Randy Orton's current theme "Voices," but "Burn in My Light" was such a great theme for the cocky, brash attitude of "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton.
It probably wouldn't work for a face Randy Orton, but everyone knows that Orton was best when he was a heel. Should he turn back to the dark side, I think they should bring this song back.
CM Punk
2 of 10Song: "This Fire Burns"
Artist: Killswitch Engage
Many fans love CM Punk's current theme "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour, and I can't blame them. The song is a classic, and Punk is sort of a cult of personality in his own right.
But Punk's tattooed appearance and anti-hero personality make "This Fire Burns" a great entrance. It also helps that the song is very recognizable by the instrumental and is an amazing song in general.
Dolph Ziggler
3 of 10Song: "Here to Show the World"
Artist: Downstait
Even though Dolph Ziggler's current theme "Here to Show the World" and his old theme "I am Perfection" are almost the same, I think the intro of the current song is much better.
I personally am not a big fan of all the work Downstait does in the WWE (The Miz and Alex Riley's themes), but this song is not bad. It especially plays to Ziggler's personality as the "Showoff."
Kane
4 of 10Song: "Slow Chemical"
Artist: Finger Eleven
There is just something about the Finger Eleven version of Kane's entrance song that puts it above the rest.
Maybe it's the lyrics or maybe it's the distorted guitars, but "Slow Chemical" is definitely the best song Kane has had so far.
Most of his other versions sound the same, but the anguished lyrics and vocals just remind me of the early days of Kane. It actually is one of the better Finger Eleven songs in general.
Mark Henry
5 of 10Song: "Some Bodies Gonna Get It"
Artist: Three 6 Mafia
Mark Henry has not had many entrance songs in his career, but "Some Bodies Gonna Get It" is easily the best song Henry has had. It's incredibly catchy and sounds like a mainstream song that a rap station would put the radio.
I was tempted to put on his song from when he was "Sexual Chocolate," but that is too much of a joke. To be fair, that song was good, in my opinion.
Rey Mysterio
6 of 10Song: "619"
Artist: Chris Classic
It may be because it was the song that welcomed him to the WWE or the fact that it complements Rey Mysterio's high-flying style, but Mysterio's first theme song was his best.
"Booyaka" is a solid song as well, but sometimes associating P.O.D. with Rey Mysterio makes my head spin.
Either way, "619" was an exciting entrance song for an exciting wrestler. I would love to see it brought back, as I think "Booyaka" has run its course.
Layla
7 of 10Song: "Not Enough for Me"
Artist: Jim Johnston
Most entrance songs for Divas do not particularly interest me, but in giving Layla her new song, it made me wish they brought back her old one.
"Not Enough for Me" was used during her time with LayCool and gave her an attitude. Right now she is way too goofy with her butt bumps to the head and dancing, but when she was in LayCool, she was all business.
This song should be brought back to give Layla the attitude of old. Her as an arrogant heel was great, as was its pairing with this song.
Triple H
8 of 10Song: "The Game"
Artist: Motorhead
Triple H has been given a number of great entrance songs in his career, but "The Game" has to be the best.
This song is rivaled greatly by "King of Kings" by Motorhead, "My Time" by the DX Band and "Break it Down" by the DX Band, but this song is just too good.
Technically, he is "The Game" and he does make the rules. The song had, and still has, great foreshadowing to it now that he is a corporate man.
Christian
9 of 10Title: "Just Close Your Eyes"
Artist: Story of the Year
Christian is one of the all-time greats, should you choose not to look at the number of world title reigns he has had. But, he also has a great theme song currently in "Just Close Your Eyes."
There is nothing particularly special about the song, but it just seems right with a guy like Christian. I'm sure when he closes his eyes, he still wishes for one more match.
Tensai
10 of 10Song: "Derailer"
Artist: Jim Johnston
Tensai may be a failure, along with Prince Albert and the Hip-Hop Hippo, but I really thought A-Train had a chance at earning the current Tensai success.
In his prime, A-Train was an absolute horse. He was strong, athletic and, well, not fat like he is now. "Derailer" was a great theme that announced to opponents and fans that this unstoppable beast was heading straight for the ring.
This may not seem like a normal song for this list, but it is definitely underrated.
