WWE News: CM Punk Must Continue to Push PG Limits on Raw
When the WWE switched to PG programming, the biggest fear was that it would limit the range that superstars had to make the shows entertaining. For the most part, that's exactly what happened. But CM Punk is starting to push the limits.
The WWE champion's style is going over well with his fellow wrestlers, according to Justin LaBar of WrestleZone.com. Between bleeding on this week's Raw and continuing to have an outsider, outspoken attitude, the change he's talked about since last year is starting to show.
Fans were ecstatic when Punk first became champion last summer and then won the title back at Survivor Series. He represented a change from the status quo, which consisted mostly of John Cena holding the top title.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
While the younger demographic loves the colorful superstar, diehard fans were ready for a fresh face to emerge to liven up the shows. Punk noticed that void and it allowed him to elevate himself to the highest level of his career.
It all happened because he dared to do things differently and was lucky that the WWE gave him the leeway to make it happen.
As a result, a new star was born, and he proceeded to have some really entertaining feuds. After awhile, however, his run as the champion started to get a little bland because he stopped pushing the limits.
That all changed at Raw 1,000 when he began a heel turn by attacking The Rock. Not only was it an ideal ending to one of the biggest shows the company has ever had, but it also helped Punk create enthusiasm about the WWE title.
In the WWE, it doesn't matter if you get a positive or negative reaction. As long as the crowd gets involved, the mission is accomplished. When people don't care at all, that's a problem.
Ever since his memorable clothesline on The Rock, Punk has recharged his fading run, and it's all because he's willing to do things other superstars aren't willing to do. It's no surprise the backstage feedback is so positive.
Now that he's back on the ascent, it will get tricky again. He's proven he can captivate an audience in the short term, but doing it on a weekly basis so the fans keep tuning in isn't easy. He needs to keep pushing the boundaries.
If he does, it will be hard to argue his claim of being the best in the world.
