13 Superstars Who Should Have Been Included in the Full Roster in WWE 13
WWE 13 is set to be WWE's biggest video game release to date, with a heavy emphasis being put on the Attitude Era throughout the game.
The Attitude Era was a time in WWE where it seemed an "anything goes" mentality was adopted by just about everyone in charge.
This period helped WWE surge past WCW in the Monday Night Wars and win the ratings battle for supremacy, and ultimately put their competition in their own back pocket.
This era is often defined by names like The Rock, Steve Austin and Mick Foley—all of which are included in the game.
But the company did not rest solely on the shoulders of a few men. There were literally dozens of superstars busting their butts to put on a good product.
In this slideshow, I will look at 10 superstars who belong in this video game based on their contributions during this era.
Some of these superstars will be under contract to TNA, which is likely the reason they were not featured.
The Dudley Boys
1 of 11The Dudley Boys, mainly Devon and Bubba Ray, were a big part of the Attitude Era, especially since they were one of the teams that helped make ladder matches a mainstay in WWE.
TNA may have their hooks in these guys now, but if there was a way to include them, then they would have deserved inclusion.
Dating back to their days in ECW, this duo is one of the most important in the history of tag team wrestling. They have held dozens of titles together, and both of them managed to make some waves as singles stars in TNA, especially Ray.
I imagine there will be created wrestlers for these guys uploaded within hours of the games release.
The Hardys
2 of 11Just like The Dudley Boys, The Hardys were one of the tag teams who defined the greatest era in tag team wrestling.
Whether they were feuding with Edge and Christian or getting down with Too Cool, these guys were always crowd pleasers.
Without Jeff and Matt Hardy, those ladder matches would not have had the same impact that they did on the business.
Jeff Hardy is with TNA, but Matt is free to do what he wants, which is why I am a little surprised that THQ and WWE did not use him in this game.
Perhaps they approached him and he said no. Either way, there will be CAWs galore for these guys that I am sure will be just as detailed as the real characters would have been.
Kurt Angle
3 of 11You all saw this one coming. The guy who said he was going to be in the video game did not end up on the roster.
Despite that little hiccup, he should have been an easy choice had he not been under contract to the competition.
Angle rose through the ranks of WWE to be one of the greatest in-ring talents of all time, and the funny thing is that he has not been in the business as long as some might think.
He debuted with WWE in 1998, and while 14 years is a very long time to abuse your body, he has not been around as long as guys like Undertaker, Jeff Hardy or even AJ Styles.
Brian Pillman
4 of 11The Loose Cannon of WWE is someone who I am shocked to see left off the list.
As a member of the Hart Foundation, Pillman was involved in one of the most controversial feuds of all time with Stone cold Steve Austin.
The infamous gun scene will always be a part of WWE's legacy of crazy moments. To this day, WWE has not had a moment that jarring on television.
The camera cutting out and the sound of a loud bang, followed by the end of the show, made fans go nuts waiting for the next week to see what had happened.
It was "Must see TV" at it's best, and that is not even to mention how talented of a performer Pillman was in the ring. He was truly a natural in the ring.
Owen Hart
5 of 11We don't need to rehash the details of why Owen is not included. All you need to know is that his widow will never let it happen if it is her decision. That is her choice.
However, there is no way to stop fans from making detailed and realistic CAWs for Owen that can be played over and over again.
Owen Hart's death is probably the worst tragedy to fall on the wrestling business, ever. There is nothing we can do but honor his legacy.
I did not expect to see Owen included, but I am sure going to look for a good create-a-wrestler in his likeness to fill out a Hart Foundation stable.
Yes, I am the guy who wants to recreate matches I saw as a kid in these games.
Hurricane Helms
6 of 11Can you honestly tell me that you did not like The Hurricane when he was at his best?
I can't deny how entertained I was by Gregory Helms dressing up as a made up superhero and running around acting like he was saving damsels in distress.
His time with Hurri-Kane might have been the highlight of his run with the company, but no one can forget his feud with The Rock.
I was really hoping to see Hurricane in the trailer for the game, but I guess it was not meant to be.
Too Cool (All 3 of Them)
7 of 11With the recent appearance by Rikishi during Heath Slater's run of legends matches, I fully expected to see him included in the game.
And then I got to thinking that it would be awesome to see the whole trio from Too Cool come out and do their dancing intro in the video game.
Rikishi, Scotty Too Hotty and Too Sexy Brian Christopher were a big force in WWE and in the tag team division.
Rikishi is especially disappointing to see excluded, but all three men certainly put in enough work and entertained enough fans to have their names considered for a possible DLC.
I am talking to you, THQ!!!
Linda McMahon
8 of 11Just kidding. Nobody wanted or expected that to happen, although I am sure the people who blame her for the PG period we are in would love to put her character through some tables.
Victoria
9 of 11I did not expect Mickie James to be in this game since her time came a bit after the Attitude Era, but where is The Godfather's head ho?
Tara is under contract to TNA, but I would not have been surprised to see them use the Victoria persona as a character.
With Lita and Trish Stratus, Victoria put on some great matches, including some stipulation matches none of today's Divas would be seen doing.
D'Lo Brown
10 of 11Another TNA employee who was an entertaining character during the Attitude Era was the bullet-proof vest wearing D'Lo Brown.
He was a part of the Nation of Domination, but he made a name for himself as a singles star, becoming one of the only Euro-Continental Champions in WWE history.
His trademark head shake may have been hard to capture accurately for the game, but there is no denying that D'Lo Brown had an impact during the era.
