WWE: Is Rey Mysterio on His Last Legs?
Rey Mysterio is, arguably, the most successful cruiserweight in professional wrestling history. With three World Championships and numerous other singles and tag team title reigns under his belt, it's hard to think of anyone as decorated as Mysterio.
At age 37, it might not be long until Mysterio is forced to hang up his boots for good.
Considering his high-risk luchador style, Mysterio's longevity in wrestling is unprecedented. The fact that Mysterio has been wrestling for 23 years is admirable in and of itself. Never mind the fact that he has had numerous knee surgeries and has triumphantly returned every time.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
After being sidelined for almost a year, "The Ultimate Underdog" returned from his most recent knee surgery just over a month ago. He was warmly welcomed when he saved Zack Ryder from longtime foe Alberto del Rio on the July 16 edition of Raw.
In his first big match since returning, Mysterio challenged The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. Mysterio put up a good fight but would come up short when Miz pinned him to retain the title.
Mysterio did, however, suffer a concussion during the match. The WWE broke the news on WWE.com, stating that Mystrerio "suffered a concussion at the hands of The Miz this past Sunday at SummerSlam."
Hopefully, Mysterio won't miss much ring time. Still, one can only wonder how many more injuries the "Master of the 619" can take. Mysterio's body has taken a beating throughout his career. His slowing pace shows that each dive from the top rope is finally catching up with him.
I'm no doctor, but I'd be willing to say that there is one big injury between Rey Mysterio and his retirement. It's only a matter of time. That said, Mysterio can get the most mileage out of the rest of his career by being more weary of the dangerous high spots.
In the end, chance factors into it, too. Mysterio has always been technically sound and has taken care of himself in the ring. One accident is all it takes to end Mysterio's career.
As a personal fan of Mysterio, I hope to see him continue to grace the squared circle for years to come. At the same time, I don't want to see him try to keep coming back and suffer some kind of debilitating injury. Mysterio has spent plenty of time injured so I'm sure he's knows he has to put his health before his career.
