Michael GuadalupeJun 6, 2018

Is the Woo Woo Woo Kid Zack Ryder done?  Will he continue to get buried by the WWE regardless of his popularity?

Has the Long Island Iced Z already had his 15 minutes of fame?

Rest assured, Zack Pack, Ryder's time to shine is not over yet.

Monday Night RAW

Sure, we barely see Ryder in action on TV, and when he is on RAW or SmackDown, he usually ends up being a jobber. With Ryder's popularity, though, no matter how much the WWE tries to bury the Woo Woo Woo Kid, he simply won't stay down.

YouTube, More Like WooTube

One of the biggest things Ryder has going for him is his Z! True Long Island Story.  This YouTube show that Ryder created arguably helped him get noticed by the WWE.  The show also helped him get more TV time, and at one point even helped in getting Ryder the U.S. title.

Ryder’s YouTube played a big part in helping the WWE launch their YouTube channel.  Without Z! True Long Island Story, the WWE's channel would have had a harder time gaining popularity.

It may have been a mistake for Ryder to join the WWE channel with his show, since they do tell him what he can and can’t say. But it's still one of the main ways Ryder gets noticed by the fans.

Even when he isn't being booked for RAW or SmackDown, he plays a major role in WWE's social media scene, which puts Ryder in the spotlight a lot more than most other WWE wrestlers.

With Ryder's presence in the WWE's social media scene, he still has plenty of time to shine.

Popularity

Every Monday night on RAW, you always see at least one person holding up a Woo Woo Woo sign.  It's hard to imagine how many fans Ryder really has across the U.S., and even around the world, yet he still barely makes an appearance on TV.

It's not just the signs, though. Have you seen the Ryder merchandise? Ryder is selling tons of gear and is probably one of the more popular sellers at wweshop.com.  Ryder's popularity is through the roof, even though he barely makes TV appearances.

Ryder has become so popular, fans all over the world are supporting his quest to get booked more.

The WWE seems to be missing out on Ryder's popularity.  Why was he made to drop the U.S. title so soon after winning the belt?  Why does the WWE seem to enjoy having Ryder squashed almost every time he appears on TV?

Is it testing the limits of his popularity?  Or is it because Ryder made himself popular, without the help of a push?

Regardless, there is no denying Ryder's popularity. The WWE missing out on it only hurts it in the end.  With fans who support Ryder everywhere the WWE goes, Ryder's popularity will keep him elevated. regardless of how the WWE tries to bury him.

Support From Others

With all the support Ryder gets from former wrestlers, it’s clear his time to shine is far from over. Stone Cold Steve Austin has gone as far as to don the Broski headband in support of Ryder.  Austin has had several conversations with Ryder on Twitter, and would also say this about him:

"

Had a chat with the one and only @ZackRyder last night...what a broski...a damn good kid with a bright future...woo woo woo...

"

Let's not stop with just Stone Cold, though. The Rock has also said he is a fan of Ryder.  After his match last year at Survivor Series, the Rock would come out to talk to the crowd, but they simply wanted Ryder.

The Rock would admit to being a fan of Ryder and would be met with cheers from the audience.

Last, but not least, the hardcore legend himself, Mick Foley, has also admitted to being a Broski.

Foley was quoted at nypost.com by Anthony Sulla-Heffinger as saying:

"

I do [root for him]. I called in a big favor and Zack helped me out with a fundraiser for a group that I did called Holiday Magic. I’m indebted to Zack for helping me. I love the idea that it’s happening so fast. It’s like a rocket ride and it’s gaining momentum. Even people who weren’t in on the YouTube phenomenon are seeing this really colorful, really talented character who is absorbing it all and having the time of his life. I’m a Broski, I’m not ashamed to admit it.

"

With three of wrestling's greatest supporting Ryder and the momentum he built himself, he is far from done, regardless of how much the WWE tries to bury him.

Even though the WWE tries to keep Ryder down, his social media presence, popularity and support from some of wrestling's greatest make Ryder's presence felt throughout the WWE universe.

Ryder is simply putting up with what a lot of young wrestlers have to deal with; being buried.

He still has a lot of time left, and we should not count the Woo Woo Woo Kid down and out just yet.

Ryder is a wrestler with talent, and once the WWE opens its eyes and sees it, the Long Island Iced Z will shine again.
