Michael Cahill—RAW
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP | John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
| UNITED STATES TITLE | Bully Ray vs. Chris Jericho | |
| EUROPEAN TITLE | Mr. Anderson vs. Randy Orton | |
| FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE | Big Show vs. Mason Ryan vs. Rhino | |
| TAG TEAM TITLES | Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase vs. Justin Gabriel & Adam Cole | |
| Damien Sandow vs. Alex Riley | ||
| Tensai vs. Santino Marella |
Note: Winners in Italics
WrestleMania opens with an attempt to take an unlikable star and make him likable again. Tensai is in desperate need of a little personality and Santino, while not being the most convincing in ring performer, knows how to make a match entertaining. Admittedly this isn't going to get any 5-star awards for its technical ability but if Santino can get the crowd to react to Tensai then something has gone right.
Following up the more lighthearted performance is a great contest by two young talents with a lot of promise. This match should be both highly entertaining from a technical aspect but also carry with it a lot of emotion. Both men know how to sell themselves to a crowd and put a lot of feeling into everything they are doing. Sandow takes this but does so in a fashion that immediately have fans thinking "rematch."
The tag team titles throw in a familiar tag team against a new pairing that has a lot of wow factor. Justin Gabriel and Adam Cole both manage to pull off some jaw dropping moments and will be able to bring the crowd to their feet. Ultimately they fall victim to two very good in ring workers who know full well what the tag team division is all about. Legacy is reborn.
How do you sell the brute strength and size of Mason Ryan? You put him in a match that highlights that and only that. In a falls count anywhere match you get an opportunity to see this big massive performers whipping each other all over the arena. What these guys lack in technical skill they more than make up for in their ability to demonstrate complete dominance over their opponent. This is a match sold strictly on taking a beating. There's no question this match draws blood.
Our European title has a lot of bad blood in it. Randy Orton goes toe to toe with Mr. Anderson. There is no question the dirt sheets were reporting years ago that these two performers didn't get along and it was Orton who was the force behind Mr. Anderson's departure from WWE. With that little backstory fueling this rivalry this has a chance to be a great match. Both performers are very calculated in the ring and can handle themselves well on a mic. At their best this could be the best match on the card.
Bully Ray and Chris Jericho will be as good in the build up as they are in the penultimate on the card. Both performers have been masterful in the last few years and can both walk the line between heel and face. I think this match is a mix of nastiness and good technical ability. Bully Ray, playing more the heel here, takes this match but if this lives up to billing, it's a feud that works well beyond this card.
Our main event isn't a match that's foreign to fans but it's one we'd like to see again. Above and beyond anything else you must draw money. Matches like Sandow and Riley have little impact if no one is paying to see the event. John Cena and Brock Lesnar draw money and knowing how good their last match was you can safely say they'll draw money again.
Brandon Galvin—SmackDown
| World Heavyweight Championship | AJ Styles vs. CM Punk |
| Hell in a Cell Match | Sting vs. Triple H |
| Intercontinental Championship | Christopher Daniels vs. Christian |
| Hardcore Championship TLC Match | Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy |
| Tag Team Championship Turmoil Match | Briscoes vs. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Usos vs. Devon & D'Angelo Dinero vs. Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins vs. Kid Kash & Gunner |
| Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins | |
| Tommaso Ciampa vs. Sami Callihan vs. Roderick Strong vs. Fit Finlay |
Note: Winners in Italics
WrestleMania opens with a Fatal Fourway between four of the most intense wrestlers in the company. They'll open the show with a great mix of stiff brawling and technical mat work. Four tough-nosed competitors all looking for respect, ready and willing to bust each other—and themselves—open for the sake of putting their stamp on the company.
The card quickly shifts with Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins, which can only be described as a look into the company's future. These two men will feud for years to come, but every great rivalry must start somewhere. These are two of the top up-and-comers in the business and they will look to steal the spotlight from the marquee matches.
SmackDown boasts the deepest tag team division across the four brands. In order to provide fans with non-stop action and not only give every team a chance to compete for the Tag Team Championships, but also showcase the array of characters and in-ring styles, a Tag Team Turmoil match was issued to determine just who is the best tag team in the company.
The card now turns to its marquee matches as Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy due battle for the Hardcore Championship in a TLC match. This is a throwback to their SummerSlam 2001 encounter. Any time you have Jeff Hardy and RVD in your company, an extreme ladder match is bound to break out.
Christopher Daniels and Christian battle next for the Intercontinental Championship. With these two engaged in war, the Intercontinental Championship will quickly regain prestige. Two of the most complete and underrated performers in the history of the business, Daniels and Christian add respect to the top-tier of the company.
Heading into the draft, SmackDown knew it needed to appeal to the fan's desire for a major dream match. Sting vs. Triple H is just that as it has never been done before. Two icons of the business, these two step into the Hell in a Cell environment for legendary supremacy.
AJ Styles and CM Punk top off the show with a phenomenal in-ring performance. These are two of the top in-ring workers in the business over the last 10-12 years. No gimmicks necessary. They will finally receive their due credit by main eventing the biggest show of the year for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Donald Wood—Ring of Honor
| ROH World Title | Kurt Angle(c) vs. Daniel Bryan | |
| The Rock vs. Sheamus | ||
| NWA World Title | Bobby Roode(c) vs. James Storm | |
| Tag Team Titles | Kane & Abyss(c) vs. Eric Young & Zack Ryder vs. Darren Young & Titus O'Neil | |
| ROH TV Title | Jay Lethal(c) vs. Eddie Edwards vs. El Generico | |
| Kevin Steen vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Ryback vs. Jack Swagger vs. Hunico vs. Crimson | ||
| YouTube Pre-Show | Mark Henry vs. Brodus Clay |
Note: Winners in Italics
While the others cards have been solid, this is where the magic happens; are you ready?
My Ring of Honor WrestleMania card starts with the best YouTube pre-show fans could ever ask for; fan-favorite Brodus Clay in the culmination of his feud against the heel Mark Henry in a table match. Henry superplexes Clay from the top rope through the table to start the show and get the crowd hot.
With the crowd ready for action and the pay-per-view audience ready as well, my company would start off our televised card with a Money in the Bank ladder match. The participants are Kevin Steen, Rey Mysterio, Ryback, Jack Swagger, Hunico (as a talented Sin Cara) and Crimson, and this match will feature some of the wildest spots of the night. After top-of-the-ladder chokeslams, announcer tables smashed and absolute chaos, young star Kevin Steen goes over and wins the briefcase.
The next match on the card is designed for the hardcore fans of wrestling, but with the ROH TV Title on the line, even the casual fans will have some vested interest. Defending champion Jay Lethal will take on heels Eddie Edwards and El Generico in an elimination match that will be a perfect way to fill some time and get the fans excited about the action. Lethal retains.
My tag match for the ROH titles was verbally destroyed by the members of the show, but I think this works perfectly. Defending champions Kane and Abyss will face off with Eric Young and Zack Ryder and the Prime Time Players Darren Young and Titus O'Neil with AW. The match will be nice filler that has the younger fans in the crowd happy. With Kane and Abyss going over big and having their music hit, everyone walks away excited.
Now we’re getting down to the brass tacks of the card.
After a long feud that pitted the heel NWA World Heavyweight champion Bobby Roode against the face James Storm, the battle would culminate in a Texas deathmatch at WrestleMania for the title. After a fantastic match full of blood and weapons, Storm would superkick Roode and win.
Once the ROH crew cleans the blood and beer from the ring, it will be time for the co-main event of the evening; The Rock vs. Sheamus. While this doesn’t look perfect on paper, it would be a case of The Rock losing and putting over the younger Sheamus as the company’s next big star. This match won’t be the best, but the build will be what we wanted from the Rock against John Cena; ROH will let The Rock say WHATEVER he wants. No PG-rating here!
At this point, the crowd is exhausted after such a huge card. That’s why the main-event of the evening will be a 60-minute iron-man match between the defending face and Ring of Honor Champion Kurt Angle and heel No. 1 contender Daniel Bryan. The crowd will need time to rebuild their stamina, so the first 25 minutes of the match will feature just one stolen pinfall for each man. For the next 35 minutes, the duo will exchange 21 submissions and pinfalls, with Bryan getting the win via submission (LeBell Lock) with seconds left on the clock by a score of 12-11.
The second 35 minutes of the iron-man match will have the crowd going crazy for Bryan’s win, but the fun isn’t over. As Bryan tries to manage the stamina to stand and celebrate his title win, Kevin Steen’s music would hit and out would run the Money in the Bank winner. Steen would hit his package piledriver, then the F-5, before pinning Bryan and standing tall in the ring over both Bryan and Kurt Angle.
Best. Card. Ever.
Mike Chiari - TNA
TNA Heavyweight Championship | Dolph Ziggler vs. Austin Aries
| Casket Match | The Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett | |
| TNA Television Championship | The Miz vs. Samoa Joe | |
| Tag Team Championships | Kings of Wrestling (Kassius Ohno & Antonio Cesaro) vs. World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) | |
| Money vs. Mask Match | Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara | |
| Street Fight | Drew McIntyre vs. Magnus | |
| 8-Man Ultimate-X Match for X Division Championship | Davey Richards vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Evan Bourne vs. Kazarian vs. Zema Ion vs. Chris Sabin vs. Kenny King vs. Chavo Guerrero | |
| Dark Match | Robbie E & Robbie T vs. Great Khali & Jinder Mahal |
Note: Winners in Italics
After years of acting as the WWE's doormat, TNA is under new management and has put together a "WrestleMania" card that can rival or exceed those of its competitors.
In an effort to pay back the wrestlers, all 25 roster members will be involved on the card and it starts with a tag-team dark match between the the team of Robbie E & Robbie T, and Great Khali & Jinder Mahal. This match won't be a great technical affair by any means, but the antics of Robbie E should entertain the crowd and get them ready for the hard-hitting action that is just on the horizon.
The first match on the card often sets the tone for the entire night, so starting off with perhaps the most entertaining match on the slate makes sense. That means that an eight-man Ultimate-X match for the X Division Championship will kick things off. Every single competitor in the match has the ability to execute incredible, high-flying spots, and after several skin-the-cat moments, former ROH star Davey Richards will secure the title.
The fans will need somewhat of a breather after that, so a street fight between Drew McIntyre and Magnus slots into the next spot. Both guys are underutilized in their current companies, so it makes sense to put the two of them in a match. McIntyre is Scottish and Magnus is English, so there is a natural rivalry there. Few wrestlers use the environment around them better than McIntyre, and that will lead him to victory.
Another grudge match is up next as Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara will go at it in a battle of two Mexican icons. The stipulation for this match is that if Del Rio loses, then the Mexican aristocrat must pay Sin Cara a sizable sum of money, but if Sin Cara loses, he must unmask. This should be a well-wrestled match as Sin Cara will provide the excitement and Del Rio will unleash his array of mat skills, but Sin Cara will find a way to win and keep his identity concealed.
TNA has already obviously made an effort to differentiate itself from the other federations with its cruiserweight division, and it continues to do so in the next match as the Kings of Wrestling, Kassius Ohno & Antonio Cesaro, lock horns with the World's Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas. The other companies chose to use franken-teams, but Kings of Wrestling and WGTT are truly two of the best teams of the last five years. This is a match that any real-life entity would love to have, and the team of Ohno and Cesaro will prevail in my version.
With the tag-team match in the rear-view mirror, TNA will provide the fans with an interesting bout for the Television Championship. I made a concerted effort to make matches that have never been seen before, and this is another example of that. The TV title is reserved for guys who are bordering on main-event level, and that makes The Miz and Samoa Joe ideal participants. This would be a great feud with the weasel-like Miz doing his damage on the mic and The Samoan Submission Machine doing his talking in the ring. Joe will finally shut The Miz up and win via the Coquina Clutch.
That will be followed by the co-main event as The Undertaker puts his undefeated streak on the line against Wade Barrett. Many would love to see Taker face Sting and his past few WrestleMania matches against Triple H and Shawn Michaels have been great, but the greatest threats to his streak are normally younger competitors. That was the case with Randy Orton and Batista, and Barrett fits into that category. He is currently returning to the WWE with the role of a street fighter, so he would have the right mentality to challenge Taker, but The Deadman will prevail as he always does and beat Barrett in a casket match.
If I were worried about drawing money and nothing else, then I would have had The Undertaker close the show, but I realize that TNA needs to build new stars in order to compete with the big boys. That is why I decided to put my top two draft picks, Dolph Ziggler and Austin Aries, against each other in the TNA Heavyweight Championship match to close the show.
Ziggler is the fastest rising star in the WWE currently and the same can be said of Aries in TNA, so this match and the preceding feud should usher in a new era for the company. Aries will play the face with Ziggler as the heel, but the crowd will be split and that will make for an incredible atmosphere. You can't go wrong with giving either man the win, but since Ziggler hasn't had a true run with a top title yet, I feel like having him close the show as the new champion would make for the best moment.
While TNA may lack when it comes to established, top-level stars, it makes up for it with an innovative X Division, the top two tag teams in the business, and young talent that is ready to take that next step. With this card, TNA would be the future of the wrestling business.
