Olympic Medal Count 2012: Top Countries That Made Waves on Day 11

China, the United States and Great Britain continued their impressive showings on Day 11 of the 2012 London Olympics.

Whether it was track and field, equestrian, gymnastics, cycling or diving, each country grabbed its fair share of gold, silver and bronze on Tuesday.

Here's a look at how the top three medalists did on Day 11.

China: 9 Medals (3 Gold, 2 Silver, 4 Bronze)

China captured gold in women's team table tennis, the women's balance beam (Deng Linlin) and the men's parallel bars (Feng Zhe).

The Chinese also captured silver in the women's balance beam (Sui Lu) and the men's 3-meter springboard (Qin Kai).

The four bronze medals came in the synchronized swimming women's duet, the men's 3-meter springboard (He Chong), the women's sprint in track cycling (Guo Shuang) and the men's horizontal bar (Zou Kai).  

Great Britain: 8 Medals (4 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze)

Great Britain captured the most gold medals of Day 11 with four.

The host country captured gold in equestrian team dressage, the men's keirin in track cycling (Sir Chris Hoy), the men's triathlon (Alistair Brownlee) and the women's omnium in track cycling (Laura Trott).

Victoria Pendleton won silver in the women's sprint in track cycling. Nick Dempsey captured silver for the British in the men's RS:X in sailing.

Jonathan Brownlee and Robert Grabarz won bronze in the triathlon and high jump respectively.

United States: 7 Medals (1 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Bronze)

While the United States only grabbed one gold medal on the day (Aly Raisman, women's floor exercise), the country was able to come away with seven medals overall.

Dawn Harper and Kellie Wells won silver and bronze respectively in the women's 100-meter hurdles. Erik Kaynard and Leo Manzano added silvers in the high jump and 1,500-meters respectively. And Sarah Hammer won silver in the women's omnium in track cycling.

Raisman added a bronze in the women's balance beam. Her parents were ecstatic, as usual.
