Chris Jericho's Next Gimmick Change Will See Him Become the Wily Veteran of WWE
If Chris Jericho has proven anything during his incredible career, it is that he has nothing left to prove to anyone.
He has done it all and then he came back and did it again a few times. When you look at the WWE roster, it is hard to find anyone with the credibility of Chris Jericho.
He has reinvented himself a few times throughout his career to keep himself fresh and continue contributing to the business in new and interesting ways.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Jericho recently had a semi-face turn when he began a feud with Dolph Ziggler and, since then, he has kept relatively quiet.
WWE or Jericho may be hesitant to have him just return to his old baby face gimmick of shouting over-the-top catchphrases and acting like a rock star.
While many people, including myself, would love to see The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla return to his old ways, it does not seem like that is the direction he is heading in.
There is really only one way for him to go when he is a baby face: he needs to be WWE's in-house veteran talent who is there to do what he does best.
In many ways, he has already begun that transformation. When he and Daniel Bryan had an exchange about catchphrases a few weeks back, it seemed like a more relaxed baby face Jericho than we are used to seeing.
This same transition happened with Shawn Michaels after his return from what he thought was a career-ending injury. When Shawn came back, he was his usual self, but eventually he evolved.
It soon became clear that Michaels did not need a title for everyone to know how damn good he is, and it seems like Jericho has reached that same point. He was happy to sit back and let the others fight for the spotlight while he just went out and had great matches.
Jericho has the backstage pull to have made himself a champion by now, but he is instead choosing to help the current crop of superstars find their way in the business, which is commendable to say the least.
Too often, we see guys with a lot of power backstage use it to push themselves when they are well past their prime. Jericho is not one of those people.
He is still in the prime of his career based on his performances during his most recent run and he is still not hogging the spotlight.
This is the kind of contribution WWE should hope every veteran like Jericho would be willing to give, but sometimes egos are too big.
Certain people earn a reputation after how long they have been in the business and what they have put into it.
Guys like Flair, Michaels, The Undertaker and Dusty Rhodes all have that kind of reputation, and now Jericho has it too.
CM Punk may say he is the best in the world, but Jericho is going to go down in history as one of the best of all time. He has already earned his spot in the Hall of Fame despite having years left on his career.
I am hoping Jericho and Ziggler go out and just mop the floor with the rest of the roster at SummerSlam by having the match I know they can.
