Olympic Basketball TV Schedule: Listings and Live Streams for Remaining Games

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

Each team in the 2012 London Olympics has already completed two of their five group games. Teams that have already recorded a loss (or two) have almost no margin for error and must be flawless.

Only the top four teams in the entire tournament (not each group) advance to the knockout stage to play in a semifinal match and then a medal game.

These coveted spots are already looking like they will belong to Russia, Spain, the United States and Argentina, but anything could change in the next few days.

Predictions

Gold – USA

Silver – Spain

Bronze – Argentina

Team USA is just far too good to lose a single match in this tournament and will not have much trouble until the gold-medal game against the Spaniards.

The size and NBA-caliber skill of most of La Roja’s roster will give the Americans fits, but it will not be their downfall. Expect another close game—just like Beijing in 2008—with the U.S. holding on for victory.

Argentina is another great squad that will easily dominate whoever they end up playing in the bronze-medal match and should have no problem standing on the podium with the two great nations ahead of them.
