5 Outlandish Predictions That Could Occur at WWE Money in the Bank
One of the biggest joys of being a WWE fan is the knowledge that something could happen during the night that is completely unexpected.
These moments go down in history and are remembered forever.
Within this list are five predictions of such moments which could happen at Money In The Bank.
These situations are highly unlikely to happen but if they did, whether you know about them in advance or not, they would go down as some of the greatest twists of all time.
Two Money In The Bank Winners In One Match
1 of 5As unlikely as this may seem, there is a real possibility that the WWE could crown two "Mr. Money In The Bank"s in one match.
The rules stipulate that the winner of the Money In The Bank match is the man who retrieves the briefcase, however possession of the briefcase is not defined.
This means that one wrestler could release the clasp securing the briefcase, while another plucks the contract from the hook before the first man can claim possession. Both men would, under the current rules, have equal claim to the case and the contract inside.
The briefcase falling to the ground, while two men were holding onto it, is another circumstance where two winners may be crowned.
This would certainly be a novel storyline coming out of the pay-per-view.
Money In The Bank Cashed In Twice On The Same Night
2 of 5This should be impossible under the rules currently stipulated, but this is the WWE, where rules are discarded when convenient.
The obvious question is why would the WWE want to use both Money In The Bank contracts on the same night. The answer to this is the WWE may want John Cena as champion for the 1000th show, while keeping CM Punk strong for a SummerSlam showdown.
This could mean a convoluted end to Money In The Bank where CM Punk gets the better of Daniel Bryan, only for AJ to introduce the Money In The Bank winner as her actual boyfriend. The weakened CM Punk loses the belt, only for the celebrating winner to have John Cena rain on his parade.
If this was WCW, then this would be a far more likely conclusion to Money In The Bank.
The Rock Wins The WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Match
3 of 5The 'Great One' has continued to be very vocal on twitter about his desire to compete for the WWE championship at next year's WrestleMania.
Winning Money In The Bank would guarantee his place in that match, like Daniel Bryan talked about doing last year. The Rock also qualifies for the WWE Money In The Bank ladder match as he is a former WWE champion.
The Rock has already stated that he will be at Raw's 1000th show, so an appearance eight days before cannot be ruled out.
John Cena To Use The Attitude Adjustment On Big Show Off The Top Of A Ladder
4 of 5Superhuman feats of strength are a common occurrence for John Cena, but taking the giant Big Show on his shoulders, while balancing on a ladder, and then throwing Show 15 feet to the ground would be a career highlight for anyone.
Such a moment is possible in the Money In The Bank match, as the WWE have been very open about the specially designed ladders created to take the weight of the Big Show.
It might even be a big enough high spot to distract the crowd from an unpromising collection of stars for this type of matchup.
Money In The Bank To Be The Last Pay-Per-View Of This Wrestling Era
5 of 5This concept has less to do with Money In The Bank itself and more to do with the 1000th show which is quickly approaching.
The WWE has locked down into a pattern over the last few weeks, putting all its effort into that one landmark event. Nothing has changed and, apart from a few notable exceptions, everything has been a little bit dull.
The 1001st show is a clean slate and anything might happen. Certainly heel characters will rise up and take some of the titles which have been dominated by faces for the majority of the year.
There might even be a handover of talent over the next few months as some of the older wrestlers look to retire or go to a much reduced schedule.
If this comes to fruition then, Money In The Bank will be seen as the last pay-per-view of its era.
