Counting Down 50 Greatest Wrestlers All Time with WWE'12 & Other Games (10-1)
This is it. The final episode in the "50 Greatest Wrestlers of All Time" series. The last episode drew some criticism based on the placement of a few wrestlers, but Chris Jericho, Goldberg and the late Eddie Guerrero were the biggest lightning rods.
Guerrero was placed 20th, and many scoffed at CM Punk (who was 19th) and others for being ahead of him.
I fully conveyed my appreciation for Guerrero and his accomplishments in the video, but as expected, many felt that Latino Heat was slighted.

I think in many cases this is an example of over-honoring someone posthumously. Whenever someone of any measure of greatness passes, it causes fans and admirers to exaggerate their accomplishments as a form of honoring them.
I tried to stay away from that in this list, as many of the wrestlers in it have since passed away.
It just so happens Guerrero was one of the more recent.
I ask this question: If Guerrero were still alive, would as many people be saying he should be higher than No. 20?
I understand it’s probably impossible to answer that question honestly, but it’s something to think about.
As for Jericho, he has been an awesome addition to the wrestling world. He has a huge impact on the mic, and he’s great in the ring. Being called the 15th greatest wrestler of all time is certainly no insult and no cause for me to disparage him for the sake of justifying his placement.
It’s as simple as that I believed there were 14 other wrestlers whose impacts on the industry were bigger than that of Y2J.
Period.
Finally, there’s Goldberg. He was a bit of a short-timer in regards to his career, but make no mistake, he was nearly a five-point star. A menacing look, awesomely powerful moves and amazing flair in his execution.
Goldberg had nearly unmatched charisma during his time, and his near takeover of the industry from 1997-2001 was amazing.
In this the final video, Hulk Hogan is featured, but is he No. 1? You know the drill, you’ll have to watch the video to see.
In case you’ve missed the first 40 stars, here is a link to each episode: 50-41, 40-31, 30-21, 20-11.
