2009 WWE No Way Out: Voices and Chambers

Micheal RobinsonFeb 15, 2009

There is something different about the Key Arena tonight in Seattle, Washington. It's not just the jam packed WWE fans waiting on No Way Out, and its not the fact a Pay Per View will be held tonight. There is a huge black cage hovering over the ring like a floating Alcatraz known as the Elimination Chamber.

12 WWE Superstars will be inside of that chamber in two matches. One where John Cena will defend his World Title and the other, Edge defends the WWE Championship in the last Pay-Per-View before WrestleMania 25 in Houston.

Let's take a look at the matches and my predictions:

ECW Championship Match
Jack Swagger (c) vs. Finlay

Jack Swagger finally lost his first match recently on ECW against Finlay but that was in a non-title match. I really like the "All-American American" and how he performs in the ring. He has a bright future in the WWE and I don't see why they would take a title off of him right now.

Winner: Jack Swagger

All or Nothing Match
Shawn Michaels vs. JBL

In a match that should finally end the horrible story line of JBL and Shawn Michaels, the all or nothing match. For the past month, Shawn Michaels has been labeled as "JBL's associate" due to "financial trouble." I never thought the WWE would put the recent economic times into a story line but never say never and never be shocked as a WWE fan, anything is possible.

I am with a lot of other WWE fans that believe HBK will face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25, ending this JBL fued at No Way Out. Look for HBK's wife to distract JBL with a slap in the face or a kiss, and then its Sweet Chin Music for JBL and Shawn posing in the middle of the ring with his wife standing over him, just like Royal Rumble 95' where he posed below Pamela Anderson.

Winner: Shawn Michaels

No Holds Barred Match
"The Legend Killer" Randy Orton vs. "The Boy Wonder" Shane McMahon

This is the match I will be looking foreword to the most during the No Way Out pay-per-view. The Legend Killer, Randy Orton taking on Shane McMahon in an anything goes match. After Orton kicked Vince McMahon in the head and then threatened Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon stepped into the hero role and saved the day for the McMahon family.

I expect Vince McMahon to get involved tonight possibly, but I've got to go with Randy Orton pulling the match out via RKO. Not just any RKO, how high can Randy Orton RKO Shane off of something? This is what I would like to see. Orton goes on to WrestleMania 25 as planned to face the World Champion.

Winner: Randy Orton

World Championship Elimination Chamber Match
John Cena (c) vs. Kane vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho vs. Mike Knox

Don't get me wrong, I am all for an elimination chamber match, and while I am not a big fan of John Cena and his wrestling skills, he is still very strong and does some incredible things. But this match is probably one of the worst main events I have ever seen and I hope they don't run this match last.

Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio and Mike Knox do not belong in a main event in my opinion, but take that with a grain of salt because, obviously WWE knows what they are doing. This looks nothing more like a cake walk for John Cena to go onto WrestleMania and face Randy Orton. I look for Mysterio and Knox to start the match, with Cena hitting the "Attitude adjustment" on Jericho to win the match.

Winner: John Cena

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Edge (c) vs. The Undertaker vs. Triple H vs. Big Show vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Jeff Hardy

This probably won't be the last match of the night, but I am still going to make it the last match in my article.  A lot, a lot, a lot of talent in this match. Smackdown clearly has the better roster right now, which isn't the way it was in the past. A draft is clearly needed and is planned two weeks after WrestleMania in Atlanta (where I will be sitting front row ringside), but that's for another article.

Back to the match. With Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy now feuding, Jeff might be a factor at the end of this match, only to have his brother Matt step in and stop Jeff from winning, setting up a brother vs. brother match at WrestleMania 25.

Vladimir Kozlov is shown on the No Way Out poster, but I don't see him doing much in this match, only maybe setting up a feud with Big Show. Edge should retain here, but it won't be easy with stars like The Undertaker and Triple H in the match. What I would like to see is the cage opening up somewhat, and Matt Hardy bringing in a chair to hit Jeff, leaving the chair in the ring, Triple H goes for the chair but is speared by Edge for the victory.

They may work. But, anything can happen in a match with this many wrestlers involved. Big Show and Jeff Hardy could start the match, soon after, Kozlov would enter, followed by HHH, The Undertaker, and the opportunist Edge last.

Winner: Edge

Overall, should be a good build up to WrestleMania, don't expect WWE to pull out all of the stops, because they don't have to just yet, just a little teaser to WrestleMania, that's all. I am looking forward to the Orton/McMahon match and the WWE Championship match however.

We'll see how it goes, I just hope I turn off my high-def television happy tonight, fifty bucks didn't fall out of the sky to pay for the show.
