WWE Rumors: John Cena, CM Punk, Triple H and Monday's Top WWE Buzz
A new era starts in WWE today, at least in theory. John Laurinaitis is gone, for now. The general manager gimmick is going to be filled by various stars until WWE decides what to do with this storyline.
I am in favor of getting rid of the general manager concept forever, but since it is here, hopefully WWE can make the best of it. It hasn't happened since it was introduced and the dark days of Mike Adamle and the Anonymous GM.
We shall see what WWE has in store as the build for Money In the Bank begins in earnest on Monday night.

JOHN CENA AND CM PUNK TO FEUD ALL OVER AGAIN
WWE has gone months without giving John Cena a title match, which is a story in and of itself. But the drought will end for those people who love seeing Cena chasing for the championship, as he is reportedly going to be feuding with CM Punk over the title over the summer.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is that the right call?
Our Take: In a surprising twist, I am going to say yes. I hate the idea of seeing Cena getting title shots every month, or winning the title again, but WWE is so steadfast in its resolve to keep him in the main event that it will at least get the title back to closing pay-per-views.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 New Champions
A Cena feud will be good for Punk, too, since he has not done anything of relevance since WrestleMania. I love the idea of a feud with Punk and Daniel Bryan, but WWE isn't going back to that well again.

TRIPLE H ADVERTISED FOR RAW
Following his return to WWE last week, Triple H could be making the rounds for the rest of the summer. Local advertisements for Monday's Raw (from my hometown of Ft. Wayne) list The Game as one of the featured performers. (As I often say, take this with a grain of salt because everything changes.)
Question on Everybody's Mind: What could Triple H possibly have to say this week?
Our Take: Perhaps he wants to no-sell Lesnar as a wrestler, while at the same time arguing with Paul Heyman about contracts a little more. Either that, or he is going to help some new young star get over by praising their work ethic and ability.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Triple H Burials
As hilarious as that last line was, Triple H would be an interesting addition to this week's Raw. There is a lot of time between now and SummerSlam, or even the 1,000th Raw at the end of July. I don't think WWE has enough ammo to get through four weeks of material without having Lesnar show up.

SCOTT HALL SPOILS AN NWO REUNION
Given all of Scott Hall's personal problems, it is a miracle that anyone tried to book him for an event, even an autograph signing, and expect him to show up. Sure enough, he got a gig and failed to make an appearance for what would have been an NWO reunion with Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why did Hall no-show?
Our Take: As of this writing, it just appears as if he didn't show up. There is no talk of an incident, so it appears that this was just a case of him signing up for something and not wanting to do it. He has had a habit of doing that in the past.
Hype Meter: 1 out of 5 Razor's Edges
As a way to remind myself of how great a performer, not necessarily wrestler, Hall was, I will often go back and watch his matches in WWE and then the birth of the NWO. It was a much simpler time for so many people.

WWE WANTS METALLICA TO SAVE SUMMERSLAM
In the history of WWE ideas, the reports that the company is trying to get Metallica to perform at SummerSlam is fairly low on the list. Concerts at wrestling shows don't often work well, because the fans don't care, but at least Metallica would give WWE some street cred in the rock community.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Should WWE be trying to get Metallica?
Our Take: WWE's stance when it sees business waning is to throw money at the problem. That's why Rock wrestled at WrestleMania. I don't see Metallica being a big issue, if this report comes to fruition. As long as the band stays away from anything from 1991-2007, we will be okay.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Wrestling Rock Concerts
Whenever I hear about potential concerts at wrestling events, I can't help but think back to WCW at the end, when you had Megadeth and KISS performing on Nitro to draw in viewers. WWE's transformation is nearly complete.
