WWE No Way out 2012 Results: Dolph Ziggler Proves He's Not Good Enough in Loss

Sam R. QuinnJun 4, 2018

Dolph Zigger pulled out all the stops against Sheamus tonight, but he still wasn't able to leave the ring as the winner at WWE No Way Out

That proves that Ziggler just isn't good enough to win the World Heavyweight Championship. At the very least, he's not good enough to beat Sheamus in the ring.

It was clear from the beginning that Sheamus was the physically superior wrestler tonight. He took plenty of abuse from the challenger, but he was hardly phased by Ziggler's onslaught.

Ziggler went with a strategy that involved putting the champion in a sleeper hold whenever he got the chance. He was able to do that but couldn't capitalize and bring Sheamus to the canvas.

Despite the fact that he established himself as the No. 1 contender on Raw by winning a Fatal 4-Way against Christian, Jack Swagger and the Great Khali, Ziggler proved to be nothing more than that.

Ziggler is one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE, but he showed no sense of urgency in tonight's match against Sheamus. He showcased his patented handstand choke hold, which at least makes sense because it puts added pressure on the opponents airway. But it didn't seem like he was treating this match like a championship bout.

With Vickie Guerrero standing ringside screaming her obnoxious head off, Ziggler tried to employ any tactic that he could to walk away from this match with some hardware.

Distracting the referee didn't work. Leaning on the turnbuckle for leverage didn't work. Nothing worked for The Show-Off.

Sheamus is just too big, too strong and too much of a juggernaut for Ziggler to handle. At 6'0", 213 pounds, The Show-Off's frame pales in comparison to that of The Great White, who stands at 6'4", 267 pounds. So much of Ziggler's game relies on physical attacks as opposed to speed, which makes it all the more unlikely that he will be able to beat Sheamus anytime in the near future.

Just as Ziggler appeared to be getting some momentum back, he began to clutch his knee in pain, and it was all downhill from there.

Sheamus reversed a sleeper hold into the Irish Curse back breaker. Ziggler then tried another, but that just led into White Noise and a sense that it was all over but the crying. The challenger somehow got up from the two devastating moves, but he got a face full of Brogue Kick and was pinned by Sheamus.

Ziggler showed heart, but an "A" for effort won't get you a title belt. There's no shame in it, but he's not going to be Sheamus anytime soon. The Celtic Warrior is one of the best in the WWE and won't ever lose his World Heavyweight Championship belt to Ziggler.
