Ukraine vs. France, June 15, Noon ET, ESPN2
Striker Andriy Shevchenko had two goals for Ukraine in its big 2-1 win over Sweden on Monday. As one of the top goal-scorers in the tournament thus far, Shevchenko has the potential to propel Ukraine over France.
France, on the other hand, has strikers such as Samir Nasri, who came up big for the side in its 1-1 draw against England.
Both teams are playing well on both sides of the ball. Combined with the star power on each side, this should be a thrilling match.
Denmark vs. Germany, June 17, 2:45 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Strikers Michael Krohn-Dehli and Nicklas Bendtner have been huge for Denmark in the side's improbable run thus far. Krohn-Dehli scored the game-winner against the Netherlands, while Bendtner scored twice against Portugal. If it wasn't for a goal from Silvestre Varela in the 87th minute on Wednesday, Denmark would have scored a 2-2 draw against Portugal.
Germany, of course, has been spectacular. The side has lived up to its high expectations thus far, with a 1-0 victory over Portugal and a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands. Mario Gomez has scored all three of the side's goal thus far, proving to be the threat he was expected to be headed into the tournament.
Denmark's defense has proven to have some holes in it. The Danes will have to tighten up the defense to have a shot against Germany, but they certainly have the ability to score.
Croatia vs. Spain, June 18, 2:45 p.m. ET, ESPN
Wow, what more can you say about Mario Mandzukic's performance thus far in the tournament? He scored two goals against Ireland and then scored the equalizer against Italy in the 72nd minute on Thursday in Croatia's rousing 1-1 draw against the favorites. On top of that, the Croats have given up just two goals in two matches so far.
Spain, on the other hand, came together on Thursday against Ireland, blowing out the Irish 4-0. That included Fernando Torres, who scored two goals after struggling in Spain's opening match against Italy. It also included David Silva and Cesc Fabregas, who came off the bench to score.
You have to give this match to the reigning champions after their dominant display, but don't be surprised if Croatia gives the Spaniards a battle to the end.
