Tottenham Transfer News: Harry Redknapp Has Not Resigned
You could forgive media speculation surrounding the future of Euro 2012 stars Luka Modric and Roman Pavlyuchenko, but the Internet rumour mill went into a frenzy earlier today after claims that Harry Redknapp had resigned from his post at White Hart Lane.
Redknapp, 65, was noticeably furious when he told ESPN, "No, I haven't resigned, and I have no idea why it's being suggested I have. This is an outrage—an absolute liberty for people to be putting around this kind of rumour on the Internet. It is not true. There is not a chance I will resign. Why should I? I have a year left on my contract."

Redknapp guided the Spurs to the Champions League for the first time in 2010 but failed to lead them into Europe once again—although some may claim the club were unlucky. Tottenham finished a solid fourth but missed out on qualification because of Chelsea’s victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
The former Portsmouth manager has one year remaining on his deal, but the Daily Mail claimed that the former managerial candidate for England could be tempted by a big money move to Qatar. The paper claimed that the harmonious relationship between Redknapp and Chairman Daniel Levy had soured following the FA’s slow search for a successor to Fabio Capello.
Negotiations for an extended contract have stalled according to BBC Sport, an issue that Redknapp attributed to the death of Daniel Levy’s mother rather than a falling out between the pair.
Redknapp said, "The simple situation is, I've got a year left on my contract. It's up to Tottenham whether they want to extend that contract or not. If they don't extend it and I go into my last year, it's not an easy one when players know you've only got a year left. It's up to Tottenham. If they think I'm OK, and I've done a decent job and deserve an extension, they'll give it to me."
