Thunder vs. Spurs: Game 5 TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info and More
The San Antonio Spurs got off to a blistering start in the Western Conference finals, extending their winning streak to 20 with victories in Games 1 and 2. Nevertheless, it didn't take long for the Oklahoma City Thunder to strike back and even the series by winning Games 3 and 4 at home.
Scott Brooks' club is doing its best impersonation of the first-seeded Spurs, and it's working. OKC got some expected contributions in Saturday's 109-103 Game 4 win, including a career-high 26 points from Serge Ibaka's perfect 11-for-11 shooting night.
It also got some less surprising help from three-time NBA scoring champ Kevin Durant, who scored half of his 36 points in the game's final seven minutes.
Meanwhile, Gregg Popovich's team rebounded from a dismal Game 3, turning the ball over just 10 times after giving it away 21 times in Game 3. But, despite the improved control and 50 percent shooting, the Thunder's unlikely heroes proved insurmountable.
Kendrick Perkins added 15 points in a rare scoring outburst that helped compensate for Russell Westbrook's atypical 2-for-10 performance.
San Antonio engineered a comeback toward the end of the third quarter, but Durant closed the game out and left no doubts about his place among the NBA's elite.

What They're Saying
Apparently, Kevin Durant's dominance is pretty effortless. His takeover at the end of Game 4 may have looked like part of a deliberate game plan, but the unselfish star is insisting he was simply going with the flow of the game (via ESPN's staff):
""I didn't tell myself that I need to go score because what we were doing was working," Durant said.
"We were passing the ball and guys were making shots. ... I just wanted to stick with what we were doing, but it started to open up for me and I could see some lanes that gave me some opportunities to make some shots."
"
There's no question OKC was committed to moving the ball throughout much of their successful home stand. Russell Westbrook was less determined to force his scoring, and Durant was only the most obvious benefactor. The Thunder's supporting cast also proved up to the task of taking games over, giving Popovich a headache that isn't limited to this team's star trio.
Most Important Player(s) to Watch: OKC's Supporting Cast
It's not every night that Ibaka and Perkins combine for 41 points, but the Thunder may need more of the same to outscore the Spurs two more times. San Antonio's weakness on the defensive end has been in the paint, and the Thunder will be in good shape if they can continue to exploit that.
They'll be in even better shape if Ibaka remains automatic from mid-range.
Thabo Sefolosha has also emerged as a crucial variable on both ends of the floor. He's made Tony Parker's life difficult with his energy and length, and he's given the Thunder a consistent, if not consistently used, scoring option to boot.
Key Matchup: Russell Westbrook vs. Tony Parker
Parker has grown accustomed to closing games out for the Spurs, but he was nowhere to be found in the waning moments of Game 4. He scored just 12 points on 5-for-15 shooting and failed to make much of an impact facilitating offense as well. San Antonio will need Parker to rediscover the MVP-like tendencies he displayed in Game 2 (34 points, eight assists) if they are to survive this series.
Meanwhile, Westbrook has had an even worse series. Like Parker, his best performance came in Game 2 (27 points, eight assists), but the shoot-first point guard hasn't made 40 percent of his shots in the other three games.
While Westbrook's sub-par play wasn't a decisive factor in Oklahoma City, it could put a lot of pressure on this team's role players if it continues on the road.
Game 5 Prediction: San Antonio 108, Oklahoma City 96
It's hard to imagine the Spurs not rebounding from two disappointing losses. The first was a blowout, and the second was the product of a Thunder team playing their best basketball of the postseason. The Spurs may not win this series, but it'd be surprising to see them roll over in Game 5 at home.
