Mexico vs Bosnia: Mexico Will Build Momentum Leading Up to World Cup Qualifying
The Mexican national team is looking to build momentum leading up to the 2014 World Cup qualifying matches, and the Bosnians will suffer the consequences on May 31 at 9:00 p.m. ET at Soldier Field.
The two teams are much more evenly matched than you would expect. The Mexicans are ranked No. 20 in the FIFA world rankings, while Bosnia-Herzegovina sits at the No. 27 spot.
Mexico beat Wales by a score of 2-0 in their last match on May 27, but Bosnia didn't fare as well their last time out, falling to Ireland 1-0 on May 26.

The Mexicans boast an impressive front line led by Javier Hernandez, who is coming off a fine showing in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, in which he netted seven goals and was named the MVP of the tournament.
The 23-year-old Manchester United striker has scored 23 goals in 34 appearances with the national team.
Also up front with Hernandez are Giovani dos Santos and Aldo de Nigis, who have combined for 19 goals with the senior club and are part of an offensive attack that loves to keep the ball deep in opponent territory. The trio are a constant counterattack threat, as they use their superior speed to constantly beat defenders, with the help of Dos Santos' effective through balls.
The Bosnian defenders, especially Emir Spahic and Mensur Mujdza, are apt to break up passes and are one of the strongest parts of this Bosnian team, but the the Mexican offense will take advantage of their undisciplined style in this match. Hernandez and dos Santos are too fast and precise for the Bosnians to make any mistakes, and Spahic is frequently caught out of position.
The Mexican defense isn't so stellar, but the offense should be able to mask that deficiency with their ability to keep the ball in the attacking zone for the majority of the match. Bosnian goaltender Asmir Begovic loses his focus at times, which won't bode well against the Mexicans, who can strike at any time during the match.
Manager Jose Manuel de la Torre's club will use this match as a stepping stone to the 2014 World Cup qualifiers and should be able to come away with a fairly easy victory.
