Who Needs it Most

Well you could say every team on this list would need a top pick, or more importantly, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. However, there are certain teams that have an extra special need for such a player.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets are moving into a new arena next season and that could go either very good, or very bad.

Forget that the Nets have to worry if Deron Williams will leave for greener pastures, they also have to worry that their unprotected draft pick will be gone if they do not get third or higher.

If they can land the pick that gets them Davis, that still might not be enough to keep D-Will, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. It appears the Nets would have to explore a trade to bring in another star to please Williams and entice him to stay.

It appears Dwight Howard still wants to be moved, according to Josh Robins of the Orlando Sentinel, and the Nets would have the best chance to land him in a potential deal having the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

The addition of D12 would give the Nets what they need and will almost certainly keep D-Will in Brooklyn next season.

Charlotte Bobcats

The Bobcats were the worst team in the NBA last season, posting an NBA history-worst winning percentage when they managed to win only seven games in a 66-game season.

Michael Jordan runs the team and unfortunately for him, his success as a player has not leaked into the Bobcats organization. In fact, MJ is starting to look like a joke as an executive with how bad his team has become.

If Charlotte hopes to land one of the top coaches on the market today, it will all start with the No. 1 overall pick and nothing less. This pick could be the difference between a decade of success or failure for the Bobcats.

New Orleans Hornets

Graced with new owners after being run by the NBA, the Hornets would love to snatch the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft.

It has been a tumultous year to say the least for the former franchise from Charlotte after losing their star player, Chris Paul, before the season started. Since then, it's been hard times in the Big Easy.

Landing the top pick would give New Orleans something the franchise has not had in a long time: A great big man. You would have to look  back to the days of Alonzo Mourning for that and with the way Davis is being hyped for this draft, he could very well be the next coming.
