The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most recognizable sports franchises in the world. Getting up-to-the- minute information from countless media outlets, websites and other sources is virtually a second away.
For Cowboys fans, finding and following information regarding America's team is a daily, even an hourly ritual. The world of Twitter provides a galaxy of information, whether it be from players themselves or the media types who cover them. I always find it intriguing when an occasional Twitter war erupts as well.
It's important which writers and experts to follow when it comes to all things Cowboys, as the fans demand the single most important component of information—accuracy.

Without further delay, here are five experts to follow on Twitter regarding Cowboy nation.
1. Calvin Watkins, @calvinwatkins
Watkins, featured on the Cowboys team stream, covers the Cowboys on ESPNDallas.com. He provides outstanding up-to-the-minute news, tidbits and whispers that come out of Valley Ranch. Watkins is a native New Yorker, but he has been covering the Cowboys since 2006. He's a straight shooter who provides accurate information and, most importantly, passion for the Cowboys. His Twitter account shows more than 18,000 followers.
2. Todd Archer, @toddarcher
Archer is also featured on ESPNDallas.com and is usually paired with Watkins on feature video pieces and news coverage. He's been covering the Cowboys since 2003 and, like Watkins, does a great job in finding angles and providing current information straight from Dallas. His Twitter account shows more than 11,000 followers. He is worth following if you want to be in the know.
3. Nick Eatman, @nickeatman
Eatman, featured on Dallascowboys.com, could quite possibly be in a league of his own when it comes to following the Cowboys. His contributions and passion are easily visible and recognizable and it shows in his work. With even greater access to all things Cowboys, he really gets to the heart of most matters concerning the Cowboys. Follow him on Twitter and you will be glad you did.
4. Bryan Broaddus, @bryanbroaddus
Broaddus, a former scout for the Cowboys during the Bill Parcells era, will provide you with a wealth of knowledge concerning the technical aspects and evaluation process of football. You really need to follow him and read his excerpts to see exactly what I mean.
Having up-to-the-minute information regarding rumors, transactions or news is one thing, but being able to learn the game of football through a scout's eyes is entirely different. He can be found on Dallascowboys.com and, more importantly, on his Twitter page.
He's a must read and a personal favorite of mine. If you want to learn about schemes, technique and strategy, follow Broaddus.
5. Josh Ellis, @DCStarJEllis
Ellis, yet another Dallascowboys.com writer, is also featured in Dallas Cowboys Star Magazine. I can't get enough information when it comes to the Cowboys, and Ellis is another example of a passionate Cowboys writer. Along with Nick Eatman, Ellis fuels the Cowboys' information train literally non-stop. That suits me just fine. You can track his tweets on his page or the Cowboys official website.
When you want to get accurate and timely information about the Cowboys in the Twitter world, follow these experts. There are other outstanding options out there as well but, in my estimation, these individuals will take you deeper into the world of Valley Ranch.
Keep following Cowboy nation!
