Gabermetrics: NBA's Worst Shooters and the Los Angeles Dodgers Magical Pitching
The Dodgers defy all logic, there are some pretty good NBA stars that are awful at shooting and we are back with another hot edition of Gabermetrics—the only numbers-fueled column that is only slightly about numbers.
Numbers bore me, but there are some stats that are well worth looking into. As you will see, some of them are featured in picture form.
With that, we take a deep dive into the shallow end of analysis and bring back some thoughts on the biggest stories of the week.

NBA Players Missing Buckets
All props go to Court Vision for its Court Analytics feature this week, which gives us this remarkable breakdown of some really good players sucking. At least that's how I see it.
Here is the grand picture they gave us.
What wonderful simplicity.
There is so much to take in that we could spend days dissecting some very specific awfulness. In fact, Deron Williams and Russell Westbrook would get a literal slap on the hand every time they pull up from the top of the key.
The real sinner here is Ricky Rubio, who despite his flash, has issues with finishing at the bucket. Also, Pacers fans may want to look away from this amazing feature.
Dodgers Magic
Um...so I am a tad scared of the wizardry that is occurring over at Chavez Ravine. There are some gaudy numbers being posted by a pitching staff in which I had no confidence when the season started—and I bleed Dodger blue.
The team is currently second in the league with a 3.04 ERA. Yawn. Having Clayton Kershaw on the bump will bring down that average.
That's not the scary part.
