WWE Over the Limit 2012: Breaking Down Biggest Winners from PPV
Even though there wasn't much time for a build leading up to Over the Limit, Sunday night's show was entertaining and severed the major purpose of advancing storylines. The return of Christian and a couple added matches made for a solid telecast.
Let's take a look at the night's biggest winners as the focus turns to Raw tonight. With four weeks until No Way Out, it's important that these three stars are able to build off the momentum they gained from their victories.

Sometimes the obvious finish is the right one. Many members of the WWE Universe predicted Big Show would return to help Laurinaitis with hopes of getting his job back, and that's exactly what happened.
That means the era of People Power will continue for at least a while longer. Give credit for Laurinaitis for fully committing to his character. Somebody in the business as long as him could have said he didn't want to do it, but he took a chance and has steadily improved after a rough start.
He's slowly starting to build an impressive stable of supporters, including Big Show, Brock Lesnar and David Otunga, among others. His win shows the company remains behind the gimmick, likely leading to a major battle for control at SummerSlam.
Christian
Christian has only made a few appearances since late last year as he worked to overcome injuries. But the veteran superstar returned with a bang on Sunday. He won a battle royal to open the show and proceeded to take control of the Intercontinental belt by defeating Cody Rhodes.
After spending the second half of last year working as a heel, his decision to go after Rhodes and play to the crowd marked another face turn for the fan favorite. That type of versatility is what the blue brand has been missing lately.
With the SmackDown main-event scene overloaded right now, taking a midcard belt was the best thing for Christian. He can now make the Intercontinental Championship relevant while waiting for another opportunity to move up the ladder.
Sheamus
No superstar has had more marquee victories in 2012 than Sheamus. He eliminated Chris Jericho to win the Royal Rumble, beat Daniel Bryan to win the World Heavyweight Championship and has backed it up with two straight PPV title defenses.
It would have been a major mistake for him to lose last night considering the gigantic push he's been given in recent months. That said, it was still an intriguing match because Randy Orton was built like a potential champion heading into the match.
"The Great White" still doesn't get the huge crowd reaction most people associate with a top title holder, but it's been getting better. While perhaps more promos would help him, for now he'll just have to settle for big wins.
