WWE over the Limit 2012: Daniel Bryan Deserves Rematch After Photo Finish
Daniel Bryan always draws the short straw.
First WWE sets him up to be the guy that gets knocked out in 18 seconds and now this. Just like his gaffe against Sheamus resulted in a Round 2, the American Dragon deserves a rematch against CM Punk for the controversy that surrounds the wrestler’s latest loss in Over the Limit 2012.
After Punk went at Bryan with the running knee and attempted a bulldog, Bryan blocked it and applied the Yes Lock. Punk proceeded to free himself only to turn around and pin Bryan to win the match.

Wrestling Inc’s Marc Middleton explained the questionable ending in the WWE title match:
"The controversy is that Punk was tapping out as he reversed the hold. After the match, we go to replays and it shows Punk tapped after the pin was counted. Bryan argues with the referee as Punk leaves with the WWE Title.
"
It didn’t take Punk long to broadcast this message from his Twitter account after the match:
"A winner is me! Everything hurts. Headed to the pay window!
— CM Punk (@CMPunk) May 21, 2012"
Once again, Bryan gets screwed over. WWE must set up a rematch between the two wrestlers. It'd be a travesty if they didn't (almost as much of a travesty as allowing a diva match to last longer than a title match).
Punk tapped. The ref didn’t catch it. The outcome of the match failed to tell the story of what truly happened in the ring.
But that isn’t the only reason why they should set up a grudge match.
Bryan vs. Sheamus Round 2 was a massive success. There isn’t any reason to believe a Bryan-Punk rematch wouldn’t feature the same increase in quality. Familiarity features a special air—one of bitter rivalry and payback.
It didn’t take WWE long to schedule a revenge attempt for Bryan last time around. We’ll see how long they milk the referee’s mistake before announcing Bryan vs. Punk, Round 2.
