FA State They Will Not Be Charging Jose Bosingwa For His Dangerous "Tackle"
I am still in utter disbelief that the "challenge" from Jose Bosingwa on Yossi Benyoun went un-punished during the game—despite the linesman standing just six feet away from the incident.
The Chelsea player took two steps forward before lifting his foot up and placing it on to the back of the Liverpool player, pushing him out of the field of play and on to the floor.
It was a "tackle" Bruce Lee would have been proud of.

With Frank Lampard being sent off for a perfectly legal tackle a few minutes before Bosingwa's attempt to win the ball, the supporters in the pub I was watching the game in, sat in disbelief as the linesman gave a goal kick to Chelsea.
There was no effort whatsoever to win the ball with the Chelsea right back firmly planting his studs in to the back of Benayoun—who had been frustrating the Chelsea players by holding up the ball near the corner flag as he tried to run down the clock.
The referee was some way from the action and despite his earlier mistake with Lampard's wrongful dismissal, could be forgiven for not seeing the incident.
However, as the above picture shows, the linesman was right next to Benayoun when the challenge came in and despite the Liverpool player nearly colliding with the official, he waved his flag for a goal kick completely ignoring what had just taken place.
They say officials are short-sighted, but this really is ridiculous.
Bosingwa has since apologised for his behaviour, which is surely an admission of his disgraceful behaviour and the Chelsea manager has also stated he would have had no argument if his player had been sent off for the poor sportsmanship.
My mood was softened by the deserved 2-0 victory over the title rivals, with the belief that this sort of behaviour would be severely punished by the FA after the game.
But as I sat and watched the transfer dealings coming through on Sky Sports News, there was a brief mention that the FA will NOT be taking the matter any further and Jose Bosingwa will NOT be prosecuted for his disgusting "challenge" on the Liverpool player.
To say I am speechless is a slight understatement.
Frank Lampard's perfectly legal tackle on Alonso was issued with a straight red card by Mike Riley and replays show that the Chelsea midfielder won the ball cleanly and fairly.
However, match officials believe Lampard's tackle was worthy of a dismissal whilst an intentional kick with studs in to the back of a player is perfectly acceptable behaviour.
What can anyone say to that? I really do not know what to say...
