Robert Lewandowski: Ranking Best EPL Options for Borussia Dortmund Striker
Robert Lewandowski has quickly become one of the hottest names on the transfer market as teams begin setting up their summer plans. The Borussia Dortmund star scored 30 goals across all club competitions this season, making him a target for several Premier League sides.
The 23-year-old Polish striker had no trouble living up to the incredible hype that surrounded him this season, which means he'll likely transition to the EPL without any issues. So it's no surprise that several teams, including the three below, are chasing him, according to Mirror Football.
Let's take a look at the three best options available for Lewandowski as he attempts to take the next major step in his development toward stardom.

1. Chelsea
Just because Chelsea was able to make a charge into the Champions League Final doesn't mean the Blues don't have room for improvement. The team's forwards failed to deliver consistent production, leading to a disappointing sixth-place Premier League finish.
Didier Drogba, whose future remains unclear, is no longer the unstoppable force he was during his prime. Daniel Sturridge tailed off after a quick start to the campaign. And Fernando Torres can't be trusted to carry over his late momentum into next season.
Lewandowski should be one of several striker options the Blues should have atop their target list to give them more firepower up front. He would thrive with an otherwise strong roster.
2. Arsenal
Rumors continue to swirl concerning the future of Robin van Persie. He has one year left on his current contract and will be targeted by several elite clubs with a lot of money to spend if he were to decide against a new deal with the Gunners.
That would obviously leave a gaping hole up front for Arsenal, which relied heavily on the star this season. He carried the team for a large portion of the season, allowing them to secure a Champions League berth despite some defensive lapses.
There isn't much depth behind van Persie on the Arsenal depth chart, so Arsene Wenger should start making backup plans just in case things don't work out with his captain. Lewandowski would be a good fit.
3. Manchester United
The Red Devils have been linked to several Borussia Dortmund players already, with Lewandowski being the biggest star. A lack of scoring threats behind Wayne Rooney has to concern Sir Alex Ferguson, who watched his team fall minutes short of a title.
Rooney is also the main reason United isn't higher on the list, though. It's unclear if Lewandowski wants to join a team where he'll be the clear second option. That would obviously limit his upside in terms of stats, but on the flip side, it gives him a chance to play for a top club.
It's a distinction he'll have to make before making a move, but either way, Manchester United figures to become a strong contender to land him. He'd quickly calm any concerns about the offense.
