Viral Video of the Day: Man City's Mario Balotelli Tells His Critics to Shut Up
Sunday was an important day for Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli.
The 21-year-old Italian international started his day with 75 minutes of quality bench-warming time, though he still almost managed to join the Joey Barton fracas anyway. Next, he made a 25-minute playing cameo and was on the pitch for City's epic comeback against QPR.
Afterwards he picked up an English Premier League winners' medal, but more importantly, he also delivered a big ol' middle finger to his critics.

That is, a figurative middle figure.
Cue the video and skip to about the 1:07 mark. The exchange went something like this.
"Interviewer: Mumbling about Balotelli feeling exhausted emotionally.
Super Mario: I’m proud of me and my team, because a lot of people talked bad about me this year, so now they just have to shut up and watch me.
"
Fat chance of that.
Remember the time Mario was pulled over and the cop asked him why he had £5,000 on him?
Answer: "Because I am rich."
Oh, and how about the racetrack in his backyard?
And the dart accident?
Also, why always me?
Er, and remember the Wayne Rooney prostitute thingy?
Yeah, those were all fun.
Anyway, all this talk about shutting up critics apparently means Mario will be staying with Manchester City this summer.
Or at least that's what Mario thinks.
Here's more from ESPN.co.uk, complete with more shutting up:
""Too many people talk. Too many people speak about me bad. And now they need to shut up. That's it," Balotelli told Sky Sports.
"Man City is a great club, it's a great team, great team-mates. I don't see my future far from here, so I think I will only be here."
"
So there you have it.
Mario loves Man City, Man City loves Mario and Mario's critics need to shut the heck up.
