NBA Draft 2012: Big-Name Players Rising Up Draft Boards
Anthony Davis will be selected No. 1 overall regardless of who wins the 2012 NBA draft lottery.
There is still plenty to be determined after he's selected, though, and a number of big-name players are making moves up the draft board for various reasons.
Here's a look at some of the biggest names moving up as the draft nears.
Bradley Beal, Florida
The freshman was highly regarded coming out of high school and could potentially be the No. 2 overall pick.
Beal is a fantastic shooter and has tremendous upside. He has a NBA-ready body, is a willing defender and can play both guard positions.
He's not ideally sized at 6'4", but he makes up for it in a number of other ways.
A team looking for a potential superstar scorer won't hesitate to select Beal.
Andre Drummond, Connecticut
Potential drips off every inch of the 6'11" freshman center.
He has elite potential with a rare combination of size, speed and athleticism. He's extremely explosive and loves to rebound and block shots.
Unfortunately he doesn't always assert himself and he's far from consistent.
That isn't stopping his rise up boards though, and he could go as high as No. 2 depending on which team is there.
Perry Jones, Baylor
Like Drummond, Jones has elite potential but doesn't always assert himself.
He has a better body of work than Drummond, but leaves just as much to be desired at times.
Jones is all of 6'11" and can play a number of positions.
A team looking for elite potential won't hesitate to select him.
