Strengths

He's versatility. Hines is capable of making an impact at running back, wide receiver and tight end. He caught 20 passes for 281 yards and one touchdown as a sophomore in 2010, but struggled as a junior in 2011 in then-offensive coordinator Charlie Weis' offense. He's got boatloads of talent, but has struggled to find a home in a Florida offense that has lacked an identity the last few years.

Weaknesses

Hines made the move to running back this spring, so that adjustment is something to keep an eye on. Mike Gillislee won the starting job in spring, so Hines' impact will be more felt as a backup and as a receiver out of the backfield.

2012 Prediction

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Hines adjusted well to his switch to running back. At 6'2", 223 pounds, Hines has the size to be a bruiser at running back, but the athleticism to be a threat in the passing game. The wide receiver position has been a sore spot for the Gators, but the presence of Hines, Trey Burton and Jordan Reed should give first-year offensive coordinator Brent Pease plenty of options to get creative with his personnel.
