Philadelphia Flyers Season Ticket Holders File Suit over Winter Classic Tickets
The news regarding the Philadelphia Flyers continues to get worse.
A report by ESPN claims the franchise is being sued by season-ticket holders over their policy regarding sales of the tickets for the Winter Classic this past January.
The lawsuit claims the Flyers are in breach of contract because they forced season-ticket holders to purchase Winter Classic tickets outside of their package and at a higher price.

Here's an excerpt from the report:
"The suit says fans who bought a 44-game season ticket package for 2011-2012 got only 43 tickets. The plaintiffs say those who bought season tickets were told they would have to purchase Winter Classic tickets separately.

Talk about getting your money's worth.
Already down 3-1 to the New Jersey Devils in their semifinal playoff round and reeling after losing their star player Claude Giroux to a one-game suspension following an illegal hit to the head of Devils forward Dainius Zubrus, the Flyers will now be in some legal hot water.
If the Flyers are found to be in fault, they stand to lose thousands in profits. The plaintiffs are arguing it was Flyers policy to force ticket holders to pay for Winter Classic tickets separately and at a higher price, meaning thousands of people potentially were forced to do the same.
No court date has been announced. Looks like Philadelphia will have to get their gloves up in a courtroom as well as on the ice.
