Indianapolis Colts: Jim Irsay Will Offer Private Plane to Help Andrew Luck
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is in love with Andrew Luck, and we're talking schoolgirl smitten here.
If he isn't busy tweeting sweet nothings about "#12" as he refers to his new franchise passer, he's giving away a Luck jersey to the winner of his latest Twitter contest.
While Irsay is busy creating some positive jingoism in Indianapolis surrounding his new quarterback, sometimes the admiration he has for his new franchise player boils over from within him. Just check out the first tweet off Irsay's thumbs after the Colts' rookie minicamp began this past weekend:

It's obvious the Colts' owner has machinations of Luck's No. 12 jersey hanging in the rafters alongside Peyton Manning, Johnny Unitas and Bert Jones someday. As a primary obstacle, per league rules, Luck must spend the next month away from the team's facilities until June 7th when he finishes his final exams at Stanford.
Irsay not only likes Luck enough to offer him the keys to his franchise, but also some other big-ticket items. ESPN is reporting that Irsay is willing to allow the usage of his private plane (along with his helicopter, if needed) to get Luck the head start he needs on becoming the next great Colts quarterback.
From ESPN:
"Team owner Jim Irsay has even offered to make his personal helicopter and private plane available to his players.
"I've got to figure out dates and talk to the other guys first, but I will definitely use whatever means of transportation, especially if it is Mr. Irsay's stuff," Luck said with his familiar smile.
"
That "stuff" Luck mentions might also include some high-tech gadgets with a horseshoe on them. Also from ESPN:
"Moments after taking Luck with the first overall pick April 26, general manager Ryan Grigson noted Indianapolis might use iPads and teleconferencing to help Luck's progression. The Colts also made some shrewd moves to assist with Luck's workouts over the next four weeks.
"
Extra efforts like this are only employed by a first-class organization with a tremendous owner. Excitement has to be high in Indianapolis for following up a tremendous draft with special preparations of their young, star quarterback.
