Brock Lesnar Commercials from Worst to Best
Brock Lesnar made some extra cash promoting Jimmy Johns when he battled John Cena at Extreme Rules 2012.
Brock wore the sandwich company's logo on his trunks.
Other companies have also seen the marketing potential of having the Next Big Thing as their spokesman.
He's helped sell bullets, odor-eliminating spray and the concept of wearing a seat belt.
Some of these ads did well in using his aggression and toughness to sell their wares while others came off as awkward or off-putting.
Scent Killer
1 of 6Brock Lesnar evokes the Incredible Hulk by smashing CGI versions of odor.
Having the big man battle floating green blobs looks like an intriguing video game concept, but it isn't the most effective commercial.
Wildlife Research Center produces this scent-eliminating spray that Brock probably actually uses.
It's apparently beyond 99 percent effective, which is hard to top. As it comes out of the bottle complete with lightning bolts, I'd say use this product with caution.
Seat Belt PSA
2 of 6Why would Brock Lesnar do a public service announcement for the state of Virginia?
Perhaps he owed someone a favor. It's not like Virginia could have thrown a ton of money at him.
In this short ad, Brock does well in frightening us into wearing a seat belt.
This would have benefited from a few more lines, to make the payoff more substantial.
Brock is clearly reading from a teleprompter. It's distracting to see his eyes stray from the camera so much.
They would have been better off just letting him improvise.
He did have some experience with yelling into a camera.
Fusion Ammo
3 of 6Brock Lesnar is a great choice for an ammunition company spokesman.
He's a tough, burly dude that many men look up to.
Overflowing with aggression, Brock apparently relaxes from a long day of punching people in the face by shooting animals.
The commercial is to the point and utilizes Brock's celebrity well.
If you're into hunting prairie dogs, then this might be the right bullet to use.
Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain
4 of 6One of the best wrestling games ever made featured cover boy Brock Lesnar in a tailor-made commercial.
Infusing real-life clips of Brock storming about with video game footage is done smoothly.
Though it's cheap to throw in a girl in a bikini (Torrie Wilson) at the end, it's effective. THQ knows its target audience.
Teenage boys were likely already convinced about spending their parent's money on this game long before Wilson's bra came off.
WWE '12
5 of 6Brock Lesnar fans thought not too long ago that they could only get their WWE fill of him through the WWE '12 video game.
In retrospect, this was WWE cluing us in to his real-life return to the ring.
Choosing the popular behemoth to sell the game was an excellent move. Fans were hungry to see him in any form.
The ad is dramatic.
Tattoos flash on the screen, a drum bangs and a cauliflower ear sits in the shadows.
They're also smart to only let Brock do minimal acting. Show him being tough and scary; don't ask him to be charming and your ad will prosper.
Summerslam 2003
6 of 6Brock Lesnar vs. a shark!
The idea is as ridiculous as it is awesome.
How did the executives react when this concept was first voiced? Surely some of them thought it was just too silly of a concept for a wrestler to F5 a shark.
Luckily, it made it through the planning stage and was delivered to our TVs.
The surreal moment was talked about and gleefully circulated around the Internet. That's exactly what you want with a commercial.
