College Football Recruiting 2013: Where Are the Top 10 Pass-Catchers Headed?

Edwin WeathersbyJun 7, 2018

Now, we arrive at the pass-catchers in this week's series ranking the top 10 at each position and also telling you where they are headed. With the pass-catchers, this means and pertains to receivers and tight ends.

I just wanted to group them together since many tight ends are viewed as receivers these days anyways. So, for this read, you'll get to see the top 10 recruits who will be catching touchdowns in due time in college football.

Here we go.

10. Darrell Daniels, WR

1 of 10

Daniels reminds me a ton of Terrell Owens, albeit minus the antics.

Daniels is a 6'3", 210-pound WR with a thick body, excellent strength and actually gets faster when he has the ball. He's a menace to press, shoves corners aside off the line and has the speed to skate all around the field with smooth athleticism.

9. Ahmad Fulwood, WR

2 of 10

Fulwood is a big 6'4", 200-pound WR from Florida. He has No. 1 WR tools and size to go along with good speed.

Fulwood is silky smooth and has gliding speed to go with his game. He does a good job of using his length to aid his strike zone, and his athleticism looks effortless.

He's committed to Florida.

8. Laquon Treadwell, WR

3 of 10

Treadwell is a 6'3", 190-pounder from Illinois. He has a great frame that has a lot of length to it, and this allows him to get around the field to snatch balls around his frame.

It's still early for Treadwell, and he holds a slew of offers.

7. O.J. Howard, TE

4 of 10

Howard easily could play DE or OLB in college, but I'll keep him at TE for now. He's 6'5", 225 pounds and is one the most gifted athletes in the country.

With incredible potential as an athletic pass-catching TE prospect, Howard shows great hands, excellent speed, leaping ability and an ability to beat safeties for jump balls.

Howard is headed to Alabama.

6. Jordan Cunningham, WR

5 of 10

With a long frame at 6'1" and 175 pounds, Cunningham is a player who is greatly aware and knows how to settle in holes. He releases well off the line and has acrobatic skills to make catches any way he can.

5. Derrick Griffin, WR/TE

6 of 10

Griffin is a 6'6" monster on the edges who weighs just more than 215 pounds. He's so big that you shouldn't be shocked to see him moved to TE in college.

Griffin is long, athletic, deceptively fast and has some separation quickness. He can snatch balls in a crowd and can go get them in the red zone.

He's pledged to Texas A&M.

4. Adam Breneman, TE

7 of 10

Breneman is a 6'5", 225-pounder who is going to be at his best when detached from the line. He won't be a mauler as an in-line blocker, but his natural ball skills and receiving talent are top notch.

Breneman shows solid speed for a TE prospect, is great in the intermediate passing game and catches everything thrown his way.

He is committed to Penn State.

3. Stacy Coley, WR

8 of 10

Now, I've omitted Marquez North, Steven Mitchell and Sebastian LaRue off this list in favor of Coley and others.

Coley is a 6'1", 175-pounder with great speed, quickness and RAC ability. His best football is ahead of him, and he has a chance to develop into a star.

2. Robert Foster, WR

9 of 10

Explosive and just a nightmare for defenses, Foster is a 6'3", 190-pounder from the Pittsburgh area. He has the most release quickness of any player on this list, and I love that about him.

Foster can do everything with speed since he doesn't need to decelerate to get in and out of his cuts. He has a lot of juice and will attack the ball with his hands.

1. Ricky Seals-Jones, WR

10 of 10

RS-J is tops on my board.

Even though he plays QB and FS right now, you can see his potential in the footage of him as a pass-catcher.

Seals-Jones is  6'5", 220 pounds and could become a big WR or a speedy, pass-catching TE. He reminds me of Fred Davis coming out of high school.

Seals-Jones has excellent length, good speed, athleticism, flashes good hands and is a playmaker with the ball.

He's headed to Texas.
