Did WWE Use Brock Lesnar to Distract Us from John Cena's Loss to the Rock?
Lately, I have been starting to think that WWE has put one over on all of us, and no one is even talking about it.
For a year, we were spoon-fed video after video, interview after interview and encounter after encounter, and all of it was for John Cena vs. The Rock.
It was built up as the biggest match in WWE history. This was the WWE's current golden boy vs the golden boy from the last generation, and the loser would have to live with the fact that he dropped the ball in the biggest match of his career.

Many believed Cena would win simply because it seemed like a bad idea for WWE to take the man who has been on top for so long and have him lose to the guy who took off for Hollywood all those years ago.
When The Rock won the match, the first thought I had was "WWE is going to milk this for months."
Then the very next night, Brock Lesnar made his return and attacked John Cena. Since then, we have heard little more than a whisper about Cena's loss to The Rock.
For a match that had a year to build, I expected the fallout to be much longer than one day, and yet here we are just over three weeks after WrestleMania 28 and I have barely thought about The Rock since.
Everyone's attention has been on Lesnar and Cena's feud, and I am starting to think that this was an intentional move by WWE.
The announcers, interviewers and Cena himself have all but ignored the fact that Cena even faced The Rock since Lesnar made his impact in WWE.
This could be a smart move in retrospect. WWE has allowed The Rock to win against Cena and keep his image intact with WWE fans while simultaneously ignoring the fact that Cena lost what was supposed to be the biggest match of his career.
Either WWE regrets having Cena lose and is trying to just sweep it under the rug, or this was a master plan that was formed the minute Lesnar put pen to paper.
I have to admit that if this was WWE's plan then, it did a pretty good job of executing it.
I am very curious to see who comes away from Extreme Rules as the winner of the match between Cena and Lesnar.
Do you think WWE planned all of this or is it all in my head? Who will you be rooting for on Sunday?
