Brock Lesnar: Why Former MMA Star Made a Mistake Going Back to WWE
Brock Lesnar is back in the WWE and for the most part, people are excited. The former UFC champion, who even before that was in the WWE, came back a couple weeks ago and targeted John Cena.
Although many fans are happy that Lesnar is back with the WWE, Lesnar made a big mistake in coming back to professional wrestling.
Lesnar is a huge star and an excellent wrestler, but he just ended his career as a mixed martial artist. As we all know, professional wrestling is predetermined storylines and "fake," while mixed martial arts is real fighting, with real punching, real kicking and real submissions.

In Lesnar's first run with the WWE, he was seen as an unstoppable force in the wrestling world, beating all comers. Eventually, Lesnar grew tired of the long, busy schedule of the WWE and took his talents to the NFL. From there, he ventured into the UFC, where he eventually became champion.
Unfortunately, Lesnar had health problems, lost a few fights and retired. This is one major reason why Lesnar's return to the WWE is a mistake.
As stated before, Lesnar was seen as an unstoppable force in the WWE during his first run. When Lesnar came to the UFC, he lost his fair share of fights in definitive fashion.
First, he was tapped out by Frank Mir, who caught Lesnar in a beautiful kneebar. Next, he got absolutely trounced by Cain Velasquez, who made Lesnar look silly en route to a knockout victory. The final straw came when Alistair Overeem kicked Lesnar in the liver and sent him into retirement.
Lesnar's eight-fight career saw him beat three times. To me, it felt like Lesnar didn't even lose that many matches when he was in the WWE (obviously not true, but it felt like that).
These losses definitely took away from the aura that Lesnar had built with the WWE. They exposed him as vulnerable, which is the opposite of what the WWE built him up as.
Another mistake with Lesnar going back to the WWE is that he is building a rivalry with John Cena, a guy who just lost a feud with The Rock that culminated with a loss at WrestleMania. I have a feeling that the WWE is not going to let their most popular star lose a second feud in a row against another part-time wrestler.
That means that Lesnar is going to lose the feud in the end, which once again takes away from his near-invincible aura. There is a chance that Lesnar could win the feud, but once again it is highly doubtful.
In the end, even if Lesnar made the mistake of coming back to the WWE, it's the fans who will win in the end. Lesnar is an incredible talent who will help bolster pay-per-view sales and help attract viewers.
