WWE: 10 Brock Lesnar Moments We Need to See

Robert AitkenApr 17, 2012

It has been all about Brock Lesnar ever since the night after WrestleMania, when Lesnar made his first appearance in a WWE ring in eight years. In just a few short weeks, Lesnar has dominated the scene in WWE and is preparing for a high-profile match against John Cena at Extreme Rules on April 29. It will be his first pay-per-view match with WWE since WrestleMania XX.

It was reported during this past WrestleMania weekend that Lesnar inked a one-year deal with WWE, as the former MMA world champion had a lot of money thrown at him for this. So far, it seems to have paid off with a lot of intense moments and a whole lot of buzz about the current product.

Still, there are a lot of possible things that Lesnar can do in one year's time. From the superstars that he could encounter to the possible accomplishments awaiting Lesnar, an entire year is a long time in WWE and leaves the door open to just about anything and everything.

Here are 10 things for Brock Lesnar to put on his bucket list.

Then again, should we call it a "Brock"-et list?

A Match Against The Rock

1 of 10

First thing's first, Brock vs. Rock II should be a priority. It was a big deal at SummerSlam 2002. It was the night that The Rock was WWE Champion for the last time and the night that Lesnar became WWE Champion for the first time. It was the crowning achievement in one of the greatest rookie years in wrestling history, if not all of professional sports.

Lesnar became the youngest world champion in WWE history that night and slated himself as the new kid on the block, placing himself on top of the mountain. An encounter a decade later, especially if it is at SummerSlam once again, would be incredible to see. Many people have slated these two for a WrestleMania encounter in what could be the last match for both men, but selling SummerSlam well will only help the hype for WrestleMania and leave the door open for a great WrestleMania match for both men, even if it is with someone else.

Another F-5 to Mark Henry

2 of 10

It could be any super heavyweight, but Mark Henry has taken the spot before and is usually the go-to guy for that stuff. Henry is not the World's Strongest Man that he was back then, as the newer version of Henry is a lot slimmer and a lot more dominating. Seeing these two fight would be something to see for sure. An F-5 from Lesnar onto a gigantic man always gets a good reaction from the crowd.

A Showdown with The Undertaker

3 of 10

It was one of the first things to trigger a Lesnar comeback to WWE in the minds of many fans. When Lesnar, at a UFC event, was face-to-face with The Undertaker, a fan of MMA, that was all that needed to be said.

I personally feel like The Undertaker should be done, but it is too often in wrestling that superstars hang around for one more hurrah. If these two are going to have anything, it probably happens at WrestleMania since The Undertaker hardly works unless it is the months and weeks leading up to that day. If WWE wants to renege on their "end of an era" selling point for this match against Triple H, then book these two for a chance at 21-0. I'll be angry that WWE is trying to squeeze some more money out of the Undertaker character, but I'll live with it.

Sheamus Meets Brock Lesnar

4 of 10

There's a similarity here somewhere. Both were young superstars with fast tracks to the main event picture and quick work to their first WWE Championship reigns. Sheamus is already a three-time world champion, equal to the number of reigns Lesnar had with a world championship in WWE. A brawl between the war machine and the Great White would be intriguing to see.

Two men with similar styles in the main event picture? It's like Vince McMahon has died and gone to...OK, so that was a flawed analogy...

CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar

5 of 10

Names don't normally get dropped in WWE unless that person is in good graces with the company or on their way back to the promotion. When CM Punk dropped the Pipebomb Heard 'Round The World last summer, one of the names brought up was that of Lesnar, stating that he too was a "Paul Heyman guy" and that "he split, just like I'm splitting."

Well, Punk didn't really split for too long, and now, Lesnar is back. Coincidence?

Punk also has his hands on the WWE Championship that Lesnar had such a desire for during his original run with the company. Punk was not on the roster when Lesnar was, so this would truly be the first time ever to be seen. It would be a good contrast of styles and be one of Punk's greatest challenges in his current reign, which began in November at Survivor Series. If Lesnar goes after any championship, it is probably with Punk for that WWE Championship, the only title Lesnar ever held in WWE.

One More Encounter with Big Show

6 of 10

There were two main foes of Brock Lesnar in his original WWE run. The first guy was an Olympic gold medalist and works for another company right now. The other one was Big Show, who saw his peak in main event status around that time when it came to fighting Lesnar.

Big Show is the Intercontinental Champion now, but the idea of these two going after one another again is a pretty interesting idea. These two were the original pair to break the ring in the middle of a match. Just imagine if these two men fought once more and how that fight could be hyped.

Lesnar doesn't do much from winning the Intercontinental Championship, but the title's prestige, especially with its vintage look, goes up leaps and bounds if Lesnar hold it or at least tries for it.

Redemption for the Shooting Star Press

7 of 10

WrestleMania XIX saw one of the more incredible decisions made by a superstar in a main event match. His great match with Kurt Angle will be remembered for his attempt at a shooting star press. Lesnar had the technique going, but faltered at the end and suffered a severe concussion. It forced Angle to improvise the end of the match by himself and award the match to Lesnar. If there was enough concern, it could have been switched to Angle winning, except that Angle needed neck surgery as well.

It is one of those Lesnar moments where fans still wonder why he even tried. Lesnar has the ability to try that move again, and if he does, and does it successfully, all is forgiven.

Renewing a Rivalry with Randy Orton

8 of 10

Randy Orton was still coming into his own when he faced Brock Lesnar for the only time in his career. Lesnar was WWE champion and Orton was still using the Overdrive as his finisher. Orton showed his athletic ability and his future main event status with the champ. Lesnar ended up with a victory over the rookie Orton, but against today's Viper version of Orton, who knows what would happen.

The F-5 against The RKO would surely be something to see. Orton still possesses some of the moves that made him competitive against The Next Big Thing years ago, but will the voices that are now in Orton's head help The Apex Predator to finish some unresolved business?

A Moment with The Miz

9 of 10

This isn't even calling for a match between these two guys because I don't have enough faith in WWE booking to help The Miz out. All that The Miz really needs is a good chance to converse with Lesnar. Lesnar doesn't rank talking on the microphone as a strong suit, while it is what got The Miz noticed and what has kept him from being completely irrelevant.

The Miz was supposed to discuss things with John Laurinaitis this past week on Raw, but didn't do so on screen. In fact, it was almost like The Awesome One didn't make the trip to England at all. With the attention on Lesnar, all that The Miz needs to do to make his way back to some respect in the company is converse with Lesnar and say how he has taken over in Lesnar's absence.

Whether Lesnar takes kindly to it or not is one thing, but putting The Miz on television next to Lesnar will at least separate him from the Drew McIntyres of the world. Yes, it's gotten to be that kind of time being The Miz.

Another WWE Championship Reign

10 of 10

Why the heck not?

Do you think that WWE threw millions of dollars at Lesnar with a contract stating that he will be seen almost every week and they won't give him a WWE Championship? Especially given the fact that Lesnar made that old WWE Championship look so good and that it was Cena who created the current design, who would be better to change the title's look than Lesnar?

If legitimacy is what you are looking for and legitimacy is why Lesnar is here, then Lesnar as WWE Champion once again is pretty legitimate.
